This isn't a slam against the series, but nobody here was asking for a series focusing on Spock's previously unheard of human adopted sister. Several years ago, there were more people here wishing for ENT to continue, IIRC...

Or just a ten-year prequel to TOS, much less one with Michael Burnham. Speaking for myself, that would have been the last show I wanted, based on how poorly the last prequel turned out to be, and the fact that I can think of at least five better settings for a new show.

DSC feels more like what a lot of people asked for, but with one compromise after another after another, some of which were rolled back by Season 2. I’m sure many wanted to see Kirk and Spock but couldn’t due to active Kelvin films (in 2016) or simply Fuller’s insistence on something different, hence the clunky solution of wedging in Burnham as Sarek’s ward. And then there were unauthorized projects such as Axanar looking to cover that period, but do you go for the original look or something more like the Kelvin films, plus whatever redesign felt interesting to Fuller? Another compromise.
DSC feels very much like trying to build upon what fans were showing that they wanted (TOS era, Klingon war, darker themes) and applying their own artistic vision upon it, including Fuller's change for the sake of change. It's a very interesting mashup that suffered due to the change in leadership.
Nobody asked for Section 31 and I am kind of interested in it. Nobody asked for Disco and I like it. Nobody thought to ask for Picard but many wanted it.
I think you are asking if they want a full mirror universe show because nobody would ever ask for it. But they could make it interesting. They could have a mirror universe ( prime universe) episode that everyone who likes the show bitches about.
