Set blueprint exchange

BorgMan - Which ship did the sensor dome belong to?

Also, the Drexfiles are still available through the wayback machine (an archive of dead websites)
http://web.archive.org/web/20130116084307/http://drexfiles.wordpress.com/

Thanx a bunch man! Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it. It was the NX-01's lower sensor dome. I recall that Doug said it was a redress of the shuttlebay...

[EDIT] I FOUND IT! Even though it's less detailed than what I could remember of it, I don't care. That's another hopeless search I can put to rest. Yay! :D

I miss doug's blog. Hey looks like Joe was on there! I love how active Doug and the Okudas are with the community.

Yes I was on the blog, loved it. (I think but do not quote me) someone had issue with Doug posting the CG stuff, I think they though he was trying to take credit...Again its not 100% I think Doug talked about it on Facebook post. I looked, in my file but I never did have time to save any of the images. I had to do the same and try to rebuild what I could with the Wayback machine. Trust me I did not make that mistake again. When a new reference photo shows up, its goes into my Archive software!

Do we have this one?

Also Re: Drexfiles, I think it was indicated later that it was one of the original TNG SFX crew (A particular one that was responsible for the debarcle of the S2 Blu-Rays) that was the one who complained about Drexfiles posting CG renderings of the ships on the blog. But it was all inferred who was to blame because Doug didn't want to start a fight about any of it.

In any case, at least we got some good renderings of rarer ships we'd have never seen otherwise, great boon for 3d modellers. I just wish he'd finished his TNG set case study that he was doing. Granted his set 3d model was highly innacurate, but he did have some interesting background on some things.

An unknown set plan from TNG (possibly season 1) - I don't recognise it

I thought we had those etsy ones ages ago? Or were they just not added to the flickrs?

Is that Manheim's time lab from We'll only have paris? I think thats what that unknown set is.

Images from etsy were added to the flickr a while back, but the etsy pages recently updated with additional images, so these have now been added to flickr as well.

The images from photobucket are copies of the etsy sheets, but the images are larger and without watermarks.

The unknown image looks more like a cave set than Manheim's lab

From the available screencaps,* though, I don't think that drawing is part of Mannheim's lab. The rockwalls on that set are solid, kind of like the rockwalls in the Genesis cave in TWOK. The drawing looks like it's depicting an arch, but I can't think of what episode it would have been in.

*http://tng.trekcore.com/hd/albums/1x24/wellalwayshaveparis_hd_410.jpg and similar caps from pages 17, 18, and 19 of TrekCore's screencaps for the episode.

The thing that I keep trying to match, and can't, are the two squatty cylindrical objects on either side of the archway; maybe they were used as some sort of flame cauldron? The lack of a date, signature, or episode reference really hampers trying to identify the drawing at all. Parts of it look like a Rick Sternbach drawing, but some of the style also reminds me of Matt Jefferies' set renderings for TOS. This could literally be from anything in 700+ episodes of Star Trek.

Bit of bad news - I won't be able to finish the warp core for end of January as promised. I am currently having trouble with the ceiling above it, and this impacts on the final height.

I took a break from it and finished off my holodeck/cargo/shuttlebay/gym doors model, and currently drawing it up as a set of plans. Is there an actual name for this type of door? I've heard it described as "Reinforced door", "Bulkhead door", "Armoured door" and "Jaws of life door".

I've finished the blueprint for the Reinforced Door

Reinforced door 1 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/24583036051/
Reinforced door 2 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/24381045520/
Reinforced door 3 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/24381045070/

The doorway is constructed from the TMP/TNG corridor arch - previously posted blueprint:

You can also download the sketchup model of the reinforced door at my page in the sketchup warehouse - https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/by/redgeneral

Awesome work, as always! :bolian:
Personally, I'm partial to the term "jaws of life" door but Starfleet would probably call it something like "section bulkhead interlock" since it performs the function of being an airtight pressure door most of the time.

Thanks Mytran

Completing the reinforced door has opened the door for more room blueprints. I've just blueprinted the TNG holodeck.

TNG Holodeck:
Holodeck Arch (previously posted) - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/21863925210/
Holodeck Arch Panels series 1-4 - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/24587015109/
Holodeck Grid A - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/24324040434/
Holodeck Grid B - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/24954625335/
Holodeck Door Surround - https://www.flickr.com/photos/99878876@N02/24659139830/

Also requires the reinforced door blueprints previously posted

Holo Arch panels from series 6 and 7 will be done later

The door surround was a bit more challenging as I had to model up a big chunk of the TNG shuttle bay to figure out and confirm the dims for that one section. It did let me check that my holodeck model did actually fit in the space though.

The holodeck and holo arch models have been uploaded to the sketchup warehouse - https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/by/redgeneral

I've bundled all the TNG blueprints I've made into a single pdf for ease of printing
