So the newest rumor is that Saavik might be in this.

In a recent D-Con Podcast episode, Robin Curtis mentioned that she was in town because someone had pulled the character out of mothballs. She said we'll know more in a few weeks, which I take to mean Comic-Con.

So now, along with Rachel Garrett, we've got Saavik to go along with her. They really might be setting us up for more in "The Lost Era."

While it makes the most sense in terms of timeline, considering the Section 31 film has been in the can for months, and the D-Con chamber podcast is more recent, it doesn't make much sense.

Chances are higher that it's for a new project.

Cool, if true. In terms of physical age it's not quite right for the lost era. Saavik and Tuvok are supposed to be roughly the same age, so she'd fit better post-TNG.

That aside, I'd be happy to see her dump the real estate game for a bit.

She could have easily been in L.A. for post production work. A.D.R. most likely. The big question is whether or not she was in Toronto at the beginning of the year.

You'll go crazy trying to make sense of Vulcan aging, which was literally contradicted the moment the Motion Picture came out with Spock looking visibly older than in TOS (The episode Deadly Years outright stated that Spock should look exactly the same age as in TOS all through the TOS movies at least)

Well, just opening up the possibility that it might not be for this.

Also, how do we know it's not for Lower Decks? Is that off the table?

Lower Decks would probably make the most sense. IIRC, Robin Curtis retired from acting long ago and while it's not unprecedent for actors to come out of retirement for the right live action project, they typically only come back for animation. Also take into account, Lower Decks as already brought back two retired actors to reprise their Trek characters, Lycia Naff (Sonya Gomez) and Shannon Fill (Sito Jaxa).

The real “problem “ is Sarek in JTB. Even with the gray hair he’s a bit sprier than movie Spock. Probably that pesky human blood. ;)

Isn't the fifth/final season of LDS already completed? Seems odd Curtis is only talking about this now if she already did voice work on LDS. "Pulling the character out of mothballs" seems to imply that Curtis herself had nothing to do with the character, and that they recasted her.

They’re still recording according to T’Lyn’s actress
