Damn I missed these, sorry!
Maybe I should explain a bit more. Thematically a lot of fans (not all, but many as far as I've seen) wants a sort of linear progression to the Trek timeline.
Going back in time like ENT then DSC+SNW feels as if we already know how the story 'ends'. Lower Decks, Prodigy and then Picard were in the right direction.
Kelvin Timeline could be seen as 'going back' as well but they never utilised it properly as a reset timeline.
So for DSC to jump to the 32nd century and playing around there we will always know The Burn is coming, so whatever stories we see set in a timeline before that kind of will always lead to The Burn or thereafter.
That's what
I find pointless.
