Spoilers Season 3 wild speculation

In the final trailer there is a shot of Titan in some type of white/bluish maelstrom/debris field and an explosion of some kind. The next shot is of T'veen and the Haliian officer reacting to it as if in pain or distress. So it's possible some type of psychic/telepathic weapon is involved in the plot.

Spock had also sensed the deaths of an entire Vulcan crew before, so it could have been a ship/station full of Vulcans/telepaths that was destroyed.

The info on the bridge crew that Matalas posted on Twitter says one of them has served on the Titan for 3 years. Doug Drexler posted on FB stating the Titan was (apparently) launched in 2402. So we are looking at 2405 at the earliest as the S3 setting.

If JLP was 94 in S1, Picard would be 99-100 years old in 2405. :shifty:

My first thought was that the aliens from "Conspiracy" are back, but it seems more likely that it's the Dominion Changelings. There is one shot of Riker in the trailer that screams "NOT Riker", neither Will nor Tom. Actually two shots, but one is more obvious than the other. Trust no one, Beverly said ... and how can we be sure that anybody is still the person we knew?

He was born on 13 July 2305 (incidentally sharing a birthday with Patrick Stewart!).

100 years of age doesn't seem to be remarkably old by the 25th century though. Longevity seems to have taken a definite upswing in the late 23rd and early 24th centuries. We see Kirk on the brink of retirement in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country at the age of 60, whereas Picard is 60 in TNG's second season and remains a physically active man well into his 70s (he's 70 in Insurrection and 74 in Nemesis) – in fact he's six years older than Kirk when they meet in Generations! We also hear of other humans often living to a very old age, like Keiko O'Brien's mother, who turns 100 in DS9: "Dax"; and expanded universe sources (I know, not canon, but...) put Noonian Soong at around 117 years old at the time of his death.

Some new informed speculation. Someone on Twitter posted about a particular upcoming SF series doing fan service very very well in one particular episode. Christopher Monfette (12 Monkeys alum who worked on Picard seasons 2 and 3) asked if he'd be familiar, and the OP says yes. Terry Matalas then posts a Moriarty GIF. So, based on the season 3 writing credits, I'd say there's a very strong chance Moriarty is in episode 6.

Makes sense, Daniel Davis said he shot his scenes in December 2021, and filming for S3 ran from August 2021 to March 2022, so the timing would work out.

Some Vadic speculation of the more wild kind and not informed by YouTube or Twitter beyond the barest of threads...

She could be... a Turkana IV human. A great way to tie into Tasha Yar if they don't want to open the can of worms of dealing with Romulans or bringing back Sela etc

She could be... El-Aurian... maybe the scars are from being a former Borg? She'd have access to high concept plot powers and could have a long history. If you want to go there, maybe tie in with GEN and have her be a relative of Soran?

But she could just as easily be genetically altered, so doesn't even need to have been human or could pass for human in whatever her tie to TNG is. But as mystery boxes goes, she's a good one to speculate about. And not one to drag on for years.

Some new slight spoilers from Robert Meyer Burnett's latest stream:

The most important thing you need to know from PICARD seasons 1 and 2
Riker and Troi had a son who died

Raffi's character
has almost totally been reinvented

On the fleet museum
Constitution class ship confirmed

A major "this is ruled out" spoiler from RMB's stream tonight
He's claiming the "Conspiracy" aliens are not in season 3

However, there is a specific TNG episode that is very important
There's a "moving" tie in to something in episode 5, which has never been followed up on in modern Star Trek, but to name the episode in advance would be in itself a spoiler

Any speculation yet that Sito Jaxa could be followed up? She was in two episodes, no body seen... Could tie into the Dominion War...

"Moving" tie in? Julianna Tainer returns to meet Lore? The actress is still working.

The Dyson Sphere? Renamed the Montgomery Scott Dyson Sphere?

In regards to this it ties in with the rumours that
one of Riker or Troi die to be with their son (i still think it's Riker due to some of the clues in the poster and trailer)
