For some reason, learning that is making me think of those Liberty Mutual commercials.

What I’m wondering is why whoever directed this episode apparently told those who get turned into Vulcans to stare blankly into the distance. Is that something either version of Spock — or any Vulcan in Trek for that matter — ever did? Also, Patton Oswalt looks like he’s in serious need of a bucket of sleep. “Doug”? More like Snooz the Vulcan.
I thought he looks far more Vulcan than I expected. Reminded me of one of Sarek's attendants in that one episode I can't remember the name of...
