Spoilers S2 teaser trailer

So Q's back and I'm wondering if he'll run into Seven of Nine. Because there's the potential for extremely awkward confrontations.

Seven: Q. I assume you're here to resurrect Icheb?
Q: No, I'm here to...
Seven: Was he not good friends with your son? You can resurrect him any time you want right? Well why don't you?!
(Q disappears)

No, it was the worst ever. Appalling. "Picard" is the worst Star Trek series ever. Congrats, Voyager, you're no longer the bottom of the barrel!
So you'll be with us for Season 2, right?

Anyone else a little suspicious it's gonna be a time travel "Here is your life" presented by Q from that narration?

Not saying it will be, could be more repercussions from Picard's past actions confronting him in his old age maybe, but I got a "Tapestry" vibe.

I don't think they'll spend a whole season on something that's just going to turn out to be a what-if or a replay of Tapestry, so I expect whatever lesson Q's imparting this time, there will be repercussions beyond Picard and his regrets. That said, I wouldn't cry into my coffee if this season did a better job with that theme than the last one.

why even 'contribute' to this thread then :p

Hm, wait, didn't they mention, a long time ago, that they were writing season 3 already? Or am I misremembering?
SPS said they have material for 3 seasons, IIRC

Apparently, different 'times' will be shown, and that Stargazer model was in the teaser for a peculiarly long time...

The only thing I did not like was when it said 2022 :wah:

You didn't really expect 2021 did you? I was hoping it would be but was 95% sure it was 2022. Looks like we might get Disco running straight into Picard then maybe SNW after that.

Love him or hate him, Q really needed to appear. It just wouldn't make sense that he wouldn't want to ever fuck with Picard again after AGT and we have seen a lot of Picard post AGT. I am not sure why "time" is a focus of the teaser. I guess we will find out if it really means anything in 2022.

Yes. I wouldn't be surprised if we got some actual time travel on La Sirena, as opposed to just flashbacks or Ghosts of Christmas Past type stuff.

Consider my interest perked. Q is one of my all time favs.

Unfortunately, given how unappealing and poorly written the Kurtzman-era has been (IMO - if it really needs to be said), I'm not going to get myself worked up over anything.

But, as it stands without the above baggage - cool! Pretty sure that was the tablet from DS9's The Reckoning.

Very interested to see how the Prophets play into this. I can’t imagine Brooks would come back for likely nothing more than a glorified cameo.

but I think it could easily mean we visit DS9 and or Bajor with (hopefully) cameos from 1 or 2 DS9 regulars, like Kira. That could even be how they work Guinean in. Maybe she’s running Quarks since he’s got a place on Freecloud.

Quoth Akiva Goldsman:

https://comicbook.com/startrek/news/star-trek-picard-number-of-seasons/

Akiva Goldsman is one of the co-creators of the series. He isn't sure when the show will end, but says they've considered going three seasons, five seasons, or until star Patrick Stewart gets bored. “I mean, I think we have discussed it as both a 3 season show, a 5 season show, a 'let’s just keep going forever' show…" Goldsman tells Collider. "Star Trek: Picard in my view will go as long as Patrick Stewart wants to do it… As I’m sure you know, he was not interested in coming back. And we did a lot of… really good collaborative story breaking and talking and you know and I think he’s particularly delighted in a good way about having come back. And we will rely on that goodwill until he feels he’s done.”

Stewart is pumped. He WANTS to do this.

Even as an android, Picard's time is limited. He's not going to live forever.
