I could see Maura suggesting it, and I bet Jane could see Maura suggesting it, but to me Jane doesn't give off any vibes in that direction. :vulcan:

I simply think Jane treats Maura as the sister she always wanted but never had. Smarter than Frankie and maybe as scatterbrained in her own way as Tommy. :p

That may be a little strong. :rommie:

Lets say Maura is as unique a human as Tommy, but in a much smarter, elegant and ambitious way than Tommy could ever be.

Coco... did your heart Pop last night when Maura was talking in the motor boat to her new assistant last night. :p

They were on the lake looking for clues AFTER a similar visit with Jane to the same lake in a row boat. ;)

    http://www.ew.com/sites/default/files/i/2015/06/23/rizzoli-isles.jpg

"If Jane asks you, tell her you rowed."

    (Paraphrased)

And in response to his comment that he didn't understand Maura & Jane's relationship, Maura said...

    "Neither do I." :sigh:

Good ep, although even at the end I found Skeeter too annoying to deal with and am SHOCKED that Jane would consider dating him.

I found him annoying at first, but his dogged, not-too-creepy persistence began to make me rethink the possibilities. No, I don't see Jane and Skeeter in a long-term relationship, but I see her thinking about what she wants from a relationship differently now. And that's good, I think.

And the flour baby B story was fantastic. :guffaw:

I think Angie is hot still. Remember her from her days on Law & Order and the very short lived show Baywatch Nights. (horror show loosely tied to Baywatch)

However Sasha damn she gets my blood pumping. She also played Kate in NCIS. Like Marg Helgenberger she got hotter as she got older.

In terms of "aging well", 42 year young Sasha has a lot of competition at home... or a great role model at home, depending on your POV. :bolian:

I can't believe I'm 2 weeks behind on this show.

1st up, Deadly Harvest... AKA Maura visits the "body farm". A research facility described by Jane to Korshak as "Disneyland" for Maura.

A "Body Farm" was initially brought up on this show in season 1. Maura named her tortoise "Bass" after the doctor who first established one in Tennessee. This dubious fictional distinction was actually included in the wiki article on the subject.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_farm

The story was good along with the conceit that a body farm was a "great place" to get rid of bodies for serial killers and the mob.

This ep once again opens with Jane at Maura's home, helping herself to her morning coffee as Maura applies her makeup.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Nvr1MsjrDM

Since they don't live anywhere near each other and they don't carpool, one wonders why she's over there so much. Perhaps this week's "B Story" about Angela is the real reason. Jane is missing her mom and trying to arrange her day to cross mom's path.

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Nvr1MsjrDM[/yt]

After a neat murder mystery of the week, the show ends as it began, back at Maura's as the previously planned "girls night in" (sans Angela) begins.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPaPYPOnLho

The "mother daughter" bonding that Jane refers to in this clip was sweet, but the different take the two women have on the movie Jane chooses for movie night was spot on not to mention hilarious.

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPaPYPOnLho[/yt]

Its obvious that the new (2014) show runner is truly playing to the audience that wants to see these two friends be friends.

    Next up, "The Imitation Game."

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCtd7a1SKCA

I just remembered I got a phone call during this ep and need to rewatch it to understand why the heck the FBI was there beyond merely pissing Jane off.

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCtd7a1SKCA[/yt]

I do have to admit liking the part where Jane and Maura crash the museum party and Jane defaces a potentially 20 million dollar painting with a cocktail skewer.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAB4ZiSckvo

    "Flabby?" :p

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAB4ZiSckvo[/yt]

The B story continues to be Jane's family oriented. This time centered on both Angela and Frankie and a bad plumbing job his dad did in season 1 at "The Dirty Robber".

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAB4ZiSckvo

At least the plumber he hired cost only half what his father charged to fix it 4 years ago. :bolian:

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAB4ZiSckvo[/yt]

And the B story continues about the mysterious new man in Angela's life who finally has a first name.

    "It's RON!" :rommie:

    The next ep worries me.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB0Ua2cQ7WY

Someone in the forensics office dies and since they've shown Criminalist Susie Chang prominently in the last few eps, I fear it will be her. :cardie:

I guess it means we'll be seeing the new pathologist again, which is the first time since "Bassholes" (Which has nothing to do with a body farm and everything to do with tournament fishing ;) ).

When I watched Imitation Game again last night, I discovered 2 things.

I FORGOT to mention the scene with Jane and the "stolen" fried chicken leg. Maura accused her of trying to arrest it and with her mouth full of the evidence, Jane replied, "It's an accessory."

The other thing was how unsatisfying the mystery was last week. It didn't make sense to me that the art forger would kill the thief, burn the painting then kill himself.

In fact, as he laid of the floor with the bullet hole dead center, it reminded me of the question, how can someone kill them selves by such a perfectly centered gun?

Last week's end, with Jane looking off into the distance made it seem she was unsatisfied too.

In truth, I blamed it on bad writing and wished TPTB would revisit the ep in the future, maybe find out the FBI agent was "in on it" or something, but I dismissed that thought derisively. :alienblush:

Then last night's ep started and my prediction came true... about Susie being this week's victim.

Then, as the ep rolled on... my next wish came true all too soon as we discover Susie wasn't satisfied with the resolution of last week's show either. :vulcan:

Unfortunately, 20 mill is a lot of incentive for a corrupt politician who wants to be governor.

    Poor Susie.

    Ya done good, girl. :bolian:

You didn't deserve to die that way, much less have the bad guys try to besmirch your good name.

Over all, a much more satisfying ep. I am surprised that Mama Angela got through the entire thing without hugging any of her children (foster and natural born) last night.

^^Yeah, but I don't think he's going to be a long timer. :vulcan:

Then again, Frankie does need someone his age to bond with since Barry is gone.

Jane starts her day at Maura's once again and in case people think she "stayed over" last night, she's complaining about the traffic.

Of course, our Rizzles colleagues could argue that she's complaining about the traffic to wrangle an invitation to stay over? :p

I love part of this end scene this week as much as I loved a similar part of last week's last scene.

Last week, it was the silent head shake/half smile that Maura gave Jane after she busted her brother's... "jewels" over a plumbing scam he failed to pull.

This week it was the silent head shake / half frown that Jane gave Maura when she started to veer into scientific obscurity during her eulogy for our dearly departed Susie.

The good news its renewed, the bad news its just for 13 eps. I guess "just" the summer season will air next year.

Still, I count myself as fortunate to get at least a 13 ep season 7 . :vulcan:

    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/rizzoli-isles-renewed-abbreviated-seventh-810823

Angie's had a difficult 6 years with her bicoastal commuting every weekend while filming the series. There's also the "little matter" of a stalker in LA last year and the end of her 13 year marriage to Jason Sehorn.

With R&I hitting its stride again last year in season 5, I'm glad the women will be sticking around a little bit longer. :bolian:

This week's R&I, "Face Value" was excellent all around. :bolian:

We had great scenes with the friends.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t5G9szo9ls

Jane: I don't need to be taller, Maura. Men are already afraid of me enough as it is
Maura: And you think its because you are tall?

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t5G9szo9ls[/yt]

We had a great B story with Jane's "slip and fall con artist" Cousin Carlo...

    Carlo: See you at Christmas.
    Jane: DON'T threaten me!

I love that line but this one is even better.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-fzdj9VSuM

    Carlo: Jane... we're family.
Jane: Maura is family and when her father started causing problems I SHOT him! :klingon:

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-fzdj9VSuM[/yt]

We got to see Jane do a "hair flip" at Korshak.

Korshak: You know, even if I did have protopagnosia (sp?), I'd still be able to recognize you. No one in the department has a mane like that.
(Jane runs her right hand under her hair and flips it back)
    Jane: Why, thank-you.
Korshak: (He literally shudders!) NO, that person I do NOT know!
Jane: Don't tell anyone I did that, alright?
Korshak: I don't even want to remember it.

    :guffaw:

Strangely enough, we also got a different look for both women this week.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iqipeuJ6vw

On the first day, Maura went to work dressed like Jane, with a dark blazer and slacks.

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iqipeuJ6vw[/yt]

I think the last time we saw Maura in slacks was way back in season 2 when the two women traded clothes to make Jane dressy enough for the fancy French restaurant.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLNyDQeKK5Y

    Maura: You look sexy.
Jane: You... look like you're wearing my clothes.

    :rommie:

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLNyDQeKK5Y[/yt]

And on the same day Jane pulled her "mane" back into a tight pony tail and put on Maura's white lab coat to try and fake out their first murder suspect who claimed to have facial blindness.

And finally, we had a great A story with a mystery based on a witness that can't tell the difference between Korshak and Frankie.

    Next week...

    Jane looks pissed! :klingon:

Just in case you think Jane didn't hang out at Maura's this week before work. (Notice Maura In the "Jane inspired" clothing)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvsos7dYWyU

Jane: Precautions need to be taken.
Maura: Then I will keep an eye on things, even though your mother is preparing my home for the Rizzoli Apocalypse.

Cousin Carlo and the Zepilees (sp?)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozOVVac69JI

    Jane: Can I have 10?

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozOVVac69JI[/yt]

I hoped they would have run this clip long enough to see Jane in Maura's get up. Alas...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8HtJPaBrLo

Jane: The fear of Spiders that's a real thing. HOTDOGS those are real things.
Maura: Hotdogs are barely a real thing.

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8HtJPaBrLo[/yt]

Shheeezzzz, they nearly caught Jane in the lab coat in this clip. :scream:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e82jZzZ-oUE

Instead its a 2 part clip from the middle and the very end of the show to highlight the staring contests :rolleyes:in the ep this week rather than the fashions.

    [yt]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e82jZzZ-oUE[/yt]

Jane should have hopped onto youtube to learn about face blindness.

I enjoyed both the A and B stories in this week's ep.

"The Bad Seed" in the ep of the same name certainly was a sociopath in training.

One who was silly enough to bait the bear Also Known As Jane Rizzoli.

In the B story, we finally find out what happened to "Joe Friday", one of Korsak's rescue project's who finally went home to his regular family. We also discover that Jane continues to come by Maura's EVERY morning for breakfast but still sleeps at her own apartment on a ratty sofa.

"How did I not know this?" :wtf:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=837qLigJ0uc

Am I the only one that thinks Maura really is cruising Jane's body when she finally takes her jacket off. :alienblush:
