Aragorn’s Recast In New Lord Of The Rings Movie Officially Confirmed By Andy Serkis
EXCLUSIVE: Andy Serkis confirmed Aragorn is being recast.
I don’t know how you can replace Vigo Morrison hopefully they pick wisely they choose pretty good on Star Trek replacing Captain Kirk and Spark so maybe it can be good.
Never heard of him, but recasting really is the best option.
I haven't watched that show but I loved Dornan in Belfast and The Fall.Jamie Dornan - who is best, known, for me, as,Sheriff Graham Humbert/The Huntsman from Once Upon a Time - is actually the perfect person to replace Viggo as Aragorn because they very much resemble one another.
Yes! I loved that distinction, too. Strider was always my favorite version of Aragorn, too.It is on point that Jamie Dornan is being credited as "Strider" rather than "Aragorn".
Like Astin, I wouldn't be surprised if she does return in some small capacity. Also, I'm thrilled to see Lee Pace returning as well, but I'm disappointed to see that Cate Blanchett is not.
Maybe another Ranger? There was one who appeared in ROTK named Halbarad, which is very close to Halvard. Not sure what the latter would mean in Sindarin, though, so maybe he's just a generic Man they made up. Halvard sounds Norse, so maybe he's from Dale.Don't know who Halvard is (he doesn't come up at the One Wiki to Rule them All).
That's where I know him from. I knew I had seen him in something, but I couldn't remember where.Jamie Dornan - who is best, known, for me, as,Sheriff Graham Humbert/The Huntsman from Once Upon a Time - is actually the perfect person to replace Viggo as Aragorn because they very much resemble one another.
Halvard is Norwegian name (the most notable connection is an 11th century patron saint of Oslo) so the name use isn't surprising considering Middle-earth's roots. I had forgotten about Halbarad (I really need to reread the trilogy again...) and I am a bit surprised they're not using him (assuming Halvard is a Ranger, which would make sense).Maybe another Ranger? That appears to be the case. The Hunt for Meaning of the New Ones.So are Marigol and Halvard new characters then?
