Lazenby is far better than he's given credit for. Being in the best ever Bond film certainly helped, but I think it's a nuanced performance that has a lot going for it.

I was impressed by craig and the return to non-scifi classic Bond.
Moore was the bond of my childhood and probably the most suave.
I didn't think Lazenby was all that bad. I would have liked to see dalton do a few more I think he was a good bond.
I felt Brosnan was the biggest disappointment - some of it is not his fault but that of the storylines they pursued; the other part is that, having watched a couple of interviews with him, I found Brosnan to be rather full of himself and something of a jackass.

1. Connery. No question whatsoever.
2. Lazenby. On a hiding to nothing yet did a better job than Connery would have. And OHMSS is my favourite Bond pic.
3. Dalton. Greatly underrated.
4. Brosnan. Did well with some iffy material.
5. Craig (although really I'd rank Dalton, Brosnan and Craig about the same). Assuming he's given good material to work with in future, could well move up the rankings.
6. Moore. Absolutely appalling. His excuse for Band was ludicrous, unwatchable, camp and laughable.

Craig-Very good in Casino Royale. May challenge Connery for best someday.
Brosnan-The Bond I grew up with. Overall pretty good.
Dalton-A good serious Bond
Lazenby-Underrated. Never really got a chance to grow into the role.
Moore-Decent but worst of the 6.

With the proviso that this applies purely to the actor and not necessarily to the quality/number of the films they were in (a good Bond should grab you from his first outing and make you want to see more with him).
