1. Connery- By a mile! Hard as nails, and effortlessly cool.

2. Dalton- Like Connery, he had a great look, and a hard edge. But the franchise has flagging badly when he was 007.

3. Craig- Great start, but I'll wait for a few films before he overtakes Dalton.

4. Brosnan- Good, but just too smooth for my taste. He did not have that essential lethal edge of Connery, Dalton, & Craig when playing Bond.

5. Moore- Nope, he just was never my cup of tea as 007. However, he the favorite Bond of my mum, and 'Live and Let Die' has always been one of my favs in the series.

6. Lazenby- A little harsh, but I always feel he is a lesser actor doing a poor Sean Connery impression as Bond. And whenever I watch OHMSS, I'm always struck by just how much better this film could have been with Big Sean.

[Garrett]

1) Sean Connery - For obvious reasons. He had the perfect mix of ruthless killer and charm. I was tempted to rank him down a spot or two for how much he phoned it in later on, like Diamonds Are Forever, but his early performances are still the best.

2) Daniel Craig - He has only one movie so far, but he's done about what Timothy Dalton was trying to do with the character without losing the charm, for lack of a better word.

3) Timothy Dalton - Underrated, and star of my second favorite of the Bond movies. Would have liked to have seen him in another Bond movie or two, but more like his first rather than second.

4) George Lazenby - Another one who is underrated. OHMSS is my favorite Bond movie. Would have developed into a great Bond had he stayed.

5) Roger Moore - He was the first Bond I watched, so I tend to enjoy him more for nostalgia. I don't care as much for the more comical take on the character his movies had, but I still enjoy a few of them.

6) Pierce Brosnan - I never quite bought his as Bond, to be honest. He strikes me more as a model than a ruthless killer. He also has the misfortune of being Bond during my least favorite era of the movies. They had their moments, but on the whole I could do without them.

It's funny, but his remake of The Thomas Crown Affair felt more like a Bond movie to me than his actual Bond movies.
