Porthos.
Porthos.
I know it's the Kelvin universe but Scotty's line about an Admiral Archer and a beagle couldn't be the same ones of either. So maybe it's a son or daughter who kept on the tradition..
If Spiner turns up, I wonder if he'll play Noonien Soong again.
We don't know how old Soong was in TNG, did we? In "Brothers" he looked well over a century old. Perhaps even 150 or thereabouts. Which would put his birth in the early 2200s...thus making 2254 a perfect time to show Soong in his prime, so to speak.
FTW.The cameo may well be the NCC-1701
^ There may not be a NEED for one, but we all know there will BE one, because that's what every Trek show does.
I think Kem meant in terms of age. Archer would have been 145 when nuScotty beamed Notporthos into the abyss.25 years before ST09 was when the timelines diverged, no? So really the same Archer, since he was born and lived most of his life before the split.
Yeah, I prefer the in media res approach. Too many pilots are like the first day of a job or school - a lot of aimless time killing while being introduced awkwardly to strangers.
