It means keep everyone but the WASP out, they are already a global minority. They recognise those Hispanics will overtake them in numbers in a few decades.

Forget the wall, they need to build massive nets to stop the insect takeover.

Yeah, but Belushi's been dead for about 35 years. They're no longer the bullies and threat to old ladies and hosts of the week that they once were.

Borders and picket lines are in many ways the same thing. Reagan had his blanket amnesty--but that devastated African American dry-walling jobs. That was the point. That and he was hoping for staunch Roman Catholic votes that would be anti-choice--it might explain how Prop * was a thing in otherwise liberal California.

    Any border is unpleasant.

If I were a scab--and I tried to cross the picket line of Cesar Chavez--at the very least I'm going to get a good screaming at--and rightfully so.

Remember, the globalists want no borders--no picket lines, no regulations.

I support strong unions and borders both.

Now, a lot of unenlightened dixiecrats were pro-union--and the free-trade libertarians convinced us that unionists were boors in the same way the left wants us all to think that pro-border folks are boors.

Don't fall for it. Mexico has a pretty strong border after all.

If anything, Democrats ran from Union folks like some of the blue-blood outsourcers run from pro-border types. But this is all why wages have fallen

Sir Patrick will probably be forced to revert to being Mr Stewart as part of the transition. I wonder how that will affect his position in the "national treasures" league.

It was said that Anthony Hopkins renounced his UK citizen ship to become a US citizen. Yet, he's still noted in Wikipedia as "Sir Anthony Hopkins." They've also noted him as having dual citizenship. So perhaps Patrick will still retain his honorary title of Sir Patrick Stewart, if he does the same. Unless, he completely drops his UK citizenship and becomes only a US citizen.

If either Patrick Stewart or Anthony Hopkins were to drop their claim to UK citizenship, I assume the knighthood would effectively become honorary, like those awarded to George H W Bush, Ronald Reagan, Casper Weinberger, Colin Powell, Norman Schwarzkopf, Bill Gates, Steven Spielberg, and many other US citizens.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_honorary_British_knights_and_dames

I believe a full US citizen can't use an honorific such as "Sir". I don't know if the US allows the use of the letters of the order (KBE, GCB, KCB etc) after names.

Post-nominal letters are allowed, pre-nominal titles are not.

It's honorary to begin with... and there are even Americans who are given an honorary OBE (Order of the British Empire).
    https://www.buzzfeed.com/ukinusa/12-americans-you-probably-didnat-know-are-honora-dp3u

Obviously they don't call Steven Spielberg "Sir Steven"... The "Sir" pre-nominal title used in formal and respectful address seems to befall only English recipients of the OBE. A change of citizenry won't cause loss of the OBE. It's a lifetime honor, until renounced for whatever reason. If one is a British citizen upon receiving the OBE, does the "Sir" pre-nominal title still stand after changing citizenship? I'm not quite sure, given what I discovered with precedent.

I dug a little deeper on Anthony Hopkins. Apparently he does have dual citizenship. "http://www.cbsnews.com/news/sir-anthony-citizen-hopkins/"

I read that "While he can still be referred to as 'Sir Anthony' in the UK, the US’s requirement to give up titles of nobility means that he’s simply “Mr. Hopkins” over here." That would mean in any official capacity within the USA, he'd be referred to as "Mr. Hopkins." But I'll bet you anything that through any social channels in the USA he'll be called "Sir Anthony".

Considering Patrick Stewart, all indications are that he did a full citizenship change, not dual citizenship. I don't know if that means he'll be giving up the "Sir" pre-nominal title. Apparently the change of citizenship won't mean that he loses the OBE (or CBE). I expect everyone will still call him "Sir Patrick," no matter what.

OBE is "Officer of the Order of the British Empire." There are five levels to the order, only the top two of which are knighthoods. OBE is the second-lowest level.

Knight or Dame Grand Cross (GBE)
Knight or Dame Commander (KBE or DBE)
    Commander (CBE)
    Officer (OBE)
    Member (MBE)

Stewart is a knight bachelor, that is sort of a "generic" knighthood without membership in a particular order.

Remember that time that a bunch of Americans fought a war because they were tired of having to remember the pedantry of a hierarchical system of nobility based on arbitrary royal favor?

I take the point but most of the people so recognized nowadays have made significant contributions to their communities. It's too aristocratic-sounding for my American tastes, but even dyed-in-the-wool Labourites have been accepting knighthoods and even peerages for the better part of a hundred years.

Knight is not a title of nobility, and not all knights are nobles. Patrick Stewart is a commoner given a Knighthood, he hasn't been given a 'title' in the truest sense (otherwise he would be Lord Stewart or addressed by his title, usually Baron for young-money upstarts like him)

Or being in a cameo in the 1995 Little Rascals movie. Or being on Saturday Night Live because somebody at NBC wanted him to do it, while the cast didn't want to do it (at least it wasn't as calculated as this president's appearance on a so called 'classic' late '60's comedy show that pretended to be 'hip' and 'with it but wasn't compared to its contemporary). Or running a casino (a veritable license to print money) and messing that up (as well as the hotel attached to it.) I'd say that Patrick Stewart is better at a lot of things, and isn't an idiot who had the luck to be born with a silver spoon.

As for Obama messing up things, again here's his list of accomplishments.

The only title of nobility or knighthood or whatever I'd ever accept is Grand Poobah.

The American declaration of independence was more a plutocratic power grab than a struggle against colonial oppression. The founding fathers reckoned they could do much better at exploiting the potential wealth of the American continent by divesting themselves of the supervision of an English parliament three thousand miles away.
