Open Speculation about "Star Trek: Picard"

Actually, the Veridian III scenes were filmed at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. You can visit the site of Kirk's grave if you know the way.You can skip the first 3 minutes or so of the video.

Interesting, I always assumed it was Vasquez Rocks!

Killed and reanimated? I don't remember that?

Winn kills him

WINN: Tarna pur ono ull kess pah ran. Lano ka'la bo'shar lanu.
(She nearly drinks, then)
WINN: After you.
DUKAT: I'm honoured.
(He drinks.)
DUKAT: Now you.
(She pours it on the ground. Then Dukat collapses in pain.)
DUKAT: Why?
WINN: The Pah wraiths demand a sacrifice. Someone worthy of them. Who better than you?
DUKAT: No!
(Dukat dies.)
WINN: I offer you this life as nourishment to feed your hunger, to fuel the fires that will set you free. Kosst Amojan, I am yours now and forever.

Then later a Pah Wraith possesses him
WINN: Dorra tolka bre tri pah wran. Kosst Amojan, come to me! I await you.
(A wraith throws Winn against the rocks, then another goes into Dukat. His body is reanimated and turned back to it's true Cardassian appearance.)
WINN: No!

I have a feeling that a flashback to Hobus will do the previously impossible and make me wish we could have a CBSAA Exclusive fifth TNG Movie. A story about the mission that led Picard to leave Starfleet (if that's what happened) seems worthy of being its own story, instead of just a flashback.
It sounds like the prequel comic will be covering that, so that would probably indicate that they don't have any plans to go to far into it right now.

I think after the destruction of Romulus, the Romulans will be in super-overcompensation mode. They won't want to be in the same state as the Cardassians. And, if they are, I think they'll try their hardest to not look like it. So the average Romulan -- at least in the government or the military -- will come across more arrogant than ever.

K'Bar and the Bald/Bearded Romulan who tells Picard "Be the Captain they remember" are/were probably part of Spock's former underground and whatever shape it's taken now.

I would also enjoy a comprehensive flashback of the hobus mission. Just a few scenes with the enterprise e in action and the crew in the purple/grey uniforms. Since they decided to do a full grown fan service show, it better contains a shitload of nostalgia.

And i hope they dont turn the remaining romulans into the main enemies of the show. Since picard is (once again) in renegade mode, the federation should be the shows main antagonist.

Unless they change the date of of the supernova, Picard retired a year before the event happened.

Anyways they are doing a Short Trek that covers the event from '15 years before'. Patrick Stewart also said he filmed a flashback in uniform.

There's another possibility. Maybe the supernova in 2387 is just the end of a chain-reaction of events that started in 2384 and led to Picard retiring in 2386. If that's the case, then it also gives time for the Romulans to get off of Romulus. So maybe the Empire isn't quite as shattered as we thought.

I would like if the Short Trek expands on the story that Spock Prime only touched upon.

It’s only been 18 weeks since the show stated filming, guess they didn’t do the usual two weeks per episode

Chabon edited the image caption to confirm the hat indeed says Gay, not Great.

Filming an entire season before it airs means you don't have to conform to the old ways. Filming might be completed, but there's likely quite a few weeks (months?) of post left to go which will cover the entire season.

Surely they should all be wearing the bright TNGish Lower Decks uniforms? :p

(Somehow I doubt we'll ever see those outside the animated series and cosplay)

Either they shaved 2 weeks off the schedule or filmed in 10 day blocks with only Sunday's off. Either way coming in ahead of schedule is always nice. I am sure they might need some pick up shots in a few weeks, but they can usually be done quickly and sometimes with stand ins. Hopefully we will have an actual air date and trailer soon.

Seven will teach Picard how to go on a vision quest and meet his animal guide, which is a lemur
This will be his theme song...
