She's had another 20 years on top of that, so I'm thinking she's going to be pretty much completely human at this point. She definitely seemed a lot more human in first trailer when we see her talking to Picard.
I really don't see them killing off Hugh, from the way they've been promoting Jonathan Del Arco, it seems like he's going to be a fairly significant part of the show. I guess it could be a fakeout, and the kill him off right away, but that seems unlikely.
According to Wikipedia Jonathan Del Arco is 53 and Jeri Ryan is 51, so there's a pretty good chance Hugh is older than Seven.

She'll never be COMPLETELY human. Every morning, when she emerges from her regeneration unit, she's reminded of the fact that she's Borg.

They can always kill him and bring him back from the dead. ;)

The age of the actor is not necessarily the age of the character (ESPECIALLY when we're talking about the Borg's funky physiology :borg: ).

How many twenty-year-olds are playing teenagers on TV?

    I liken Annika/Seven to Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Annika is the mask. It's how she functions in the everyday world.

Seven of Nine is never far below the surface (and as we've seen in the NYCC trailer, she can come roaring out with a vengeance ;) ).

It's been 20 years, for all we know she might not even need to regenerate any more, and might just need to plug herself into a wall socket for 5 minutes or something. When we're talking about the kind of time gap we have here, I don't think you can really definitely say what is or is not happening, especially when you have as little information as we do right now about Seven and Hugh's role in the show.

But you can still use it as a pretty good place to guess a characters age. I never really got the impression Seven was supposed to have aged any differently than a normal human once she was out of the Collective. Seven's age also pretty much lined up with Jeri Ryan's when during Voyager, so I don't really see any reason to assume that's changed, especially since looking at her it's pretty clear the character has aged the same as the actress has by the time we see her in Picard.
A lot, but it's not as common to see someone in their 50s playing someone significantly younger, unless there's a specific story reason for it, and since that wasn't the case in Voyager, I doubt it will be here.

Or the scene could be from episode 12. It's a trailer for the entire season (which has been filmed), not the pilot.

Get of my ship. Hugh is a kid. People don't age.

    :blubbing:

River Tam in Serenity? (I was watching it on the plane this morning)

In the 24th century, 50 is the new 30. Picard was something like 59 when he appeared in Farpoint.

But Jeri Ryan is in her 50s? Man I hate time.

In-universe, Seven was born in 2350

There's only ten episodes in the season. ;)

*** Runs to Google "River Tam" :D ***

    (Not a Serenity fan ... Sorry. :o )

That's nothing ... Linda Hamilton is 63 and currently crushing Sarah Connor in Terminator: Dark Fate. :techman:

I actually think Jeri Ryan looks fantastic. One thing is for sure, if she's is the only one from Voyager to get a significant role in this show... gonna be some sour grapes from within that group

If The Doctor is in Season 2, which looks like will happen, and if they can manage to work Janeway in somehow, I think they'll have everyone they should have.

I'm hoping Janeway is one of Picard's Admirals on the "inside". Someone who looks like she's with Starfleet but she's really helping Picard and especially Seven. Keeping it "in the family" and such.

I like the idea of everyone either being on the sidelines or going rogue. It gives Picard a TSFS vibe.

If they don't get Janeway, I think Tuvok would be a viable substitute. There's always room for Tuvok

Kurtzman has been saying in the media that Picard isn't going to be this fast-paced, FX-laden epic a la TNG, DS9, First Contact, or Nemesis. Instead, it's slated to be something more "contemplative":

TNG? The series that made it cool to retire to the conference room while surrounded by romulan warbirds, is a "fast-paced, FX-laden epic"?!

I see this criticism lobbied at TNG a lot but I never saw it. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

He's lined up an entire team of specialists to help him on this mission ... which runs counter to the show's stated premise of Picard being aided by this so-called "motley crew".

From what I've gathered in the past, Picard is going to try to rig something together with kite string and chewing gum.

What do you do when what you want (or need) isn't available? How do you cope when you have to make do with what's available (even if it isn't QUITE what you want)?

It's even funny to see DS9 showcased that way. I mean, yeah, there was the Dominion War, but on the whole DS9 was considered the slower and talkier of the two post-TNG shows, with VOY seen as the more "action" outing.

I really don't see how Data could have survived the destruction of the Scimitar. I mean, he was feet away from the explosion. It has to be B-4.

It’s Lore in the Drawer. Data is smithereens, but we see Brent playing him - dream, hologram, flashback, who knows.

Brent said B4 is in the drawer.

Data will probably only show up in dreams, or holographic representations. The disassembled android in the drawer is B4.
