Same here. When he started I thought the character would be more fun and quirky but he quickly turned into "bland boyfriend."

On a related note, I think Mabel has commitment issues and they're not inconsistent with her backstory.

I'm holding onto hope that it's an elaborate cover-up for whatever nefarious reasons...or maybe this show's version of The Game. But I fear it's as simple as Sazz ran afoul with someone or someone(s).

Or at least that's what the show wants us to think! I don't even know anymore! This bloody wonderful show has me constantly twisting and turning in knots! And I love it!

True, but the casting of Eva Longoria and the aging up is directly referenced...and it makes sense. I'm good with the casting.

And I'm loving the show's version of Zach Galifianakis.

Also loved the surprise Scott Bakula cameo.

Presumably they're setting up that Sazz was shot because they thought she was Charles, given they stressed Charles thinking Bakula was Sazz due to the familiar coat/hat.

But we've also got two more Charles doppelgangers with Bakula and Levy.

That was a solid first ep, with palpable dramatic tension in the final scenes (almost more David Fincher than Only Murders). This is shaping up to be a great season.
