Only Murders in The Building

Ooh that's interesting.

My gut says it's Tobert

I do love @Tosk's idea that there isn't actually a murder (it's possible the poisoning was accidental as well I guess)

They filmed a scene with Mabel at the Arconium in a wedding dress, so am thinking that Tobert survives and marries Mabel but is Season 4's victim

My theory the last few episodes has been it's Cliff's mom, and this episode reinforced it like crazy, the talks she gave about doing anything for her child & the reveal that the rest of Charles' song that maybe they're looking in the wrong place and it's someone else entirely.. She thought the show was a bust and killed the star for the insurance payout and to save her sons reputation.

Congratulations to everyone who guessed that Ben was talking to a cookie in the video. I definitely didn't see it until people talked about it here and y'all were right on the money!

While it does seem pretty clear at this point that Donna poisoned the cookie, I fully expect someone else pushed Ben. I don't think it was an accident like some people here have thought, but I do expect another similar twist.

I'm still not 100% sure it is Donna, even with the cookie, they're still looking within the nursery as Donna and Cliff were always considered to be suspects.

Last season they did the fake out reveal, so I would not be surprised if this is a case of them putting the pieces together wrong and the killer is someone else, the cookies were out for anyone to take one and poison it, and were only assuming that Donna had shredded Monica's review.

Donna has shown willingness to throw money at things like its confetti, it just doesn't feel right for her to resort to murder when she could have just bribed Ben to walk away.

Ok is anyone else expecting
Josh Hartnett
to be in the finale now?

I'd also agree that we're looking at two perps, someone who poisoned him and someone who pushed him. Could be that
Donna did poison the cookie and then Cliff stepped in to save his mom. There is a whole mommy/baby theme running through the show so if it isn't Dickie or Loretta then Donna/Cliff are the next logical suspects. Which means it probably is someone else!

Great fake-out as to why Selena Gomez
was wearing a wedding dress and the fathers of the bride joke made me giggle a lot.

That is entirely possibly and I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened, I'm still leaning towards Donna with the cookie and a shocking twisting for the elevator. I don't think it's Cliff, though.

Is there some reference here I'm missing?

Both of those were fantastic. I, too, laughed at the latter. I love dorky references like that.

Plus he's having a bit of a renaissance right now. I don't know, it felt like a very specific reference and exactly like the kind of thing this show would do given we've had Rudd, Streep, Broderick, Brooks...

Unfortunately, I'd had the ending spoiled for me a few weeks ago, when I saw someone mention "Which of the Pickwit Triplets Did It" was already on streaming, saw the season 3 score had also been also been released already, and one of the track titles narrowed down the possible culprits down to, basically, one and a half. I console myself that I probably would've figured it out at the beginning of the episode from how half-assed the full confession was but, still, it hasn't been a fun thing to be carrying around.

I haven't clicked any links or read any posts today as I can't watch until Thursday but it's been renewed up for season 4

I was right, about
Cliff,

but wrong about
Josh Hartnett

Re season 4
That was a cool cliffhanger though, genuinely thought they'd killed Charles for a moment!

YOU BASTARDS.

They shot Sazz! The implication is she's dead but she damn well better not be! Even if that would be an excellent motivator for season four.

BASTARDS.

As predicted, Donna was indeed the poisoner and I wasn't at all surprised Cliff turned out to be the real killer considering all of the season themes and obvious hints leading up to the reveal. In fact, they were so obvious, I'm surprised no one saw it sooner. Not a big deal, but it all makes sense in the end.

Even though it wouldn't make sense, I would've loved to see Amy Ryan, Nathan Lane, and Jaboukie Young-White just one each this season.

Especially for an even nonsensical meeting between Teddy and Matthew.

Strike that, I'm also sad Charles didn't get any resolution with Joy. I guess they're saving that for next season instead of a quick wrap-up (which is fair)

Godsdamn right it was! I think people would riot if it hadn't been!

I, too, thought that until half a beat later when I realized the obvious.

If I'm honest, I found that to be an uninspiring finale to a fairly sub-par season.

Yeah, I liked it but I didn't love it. We already knew who the killer was, so adding the additional piece, which we would already easily assume, was not the least bit surprisingly. Kind of a dull finale, IMO. Liked the cliffhanger for the next season; I'm hoping for a better puzzle.
