Only Murders in The Building

I liked the second new episode more than the first. I'm happy they're not going to be in Hollywood all season as the building is a very importat part of the show (it's in the title!) Enjoyed all the new characters introduced, the crazy screwball murder comedy with Jan, and the Charles/Sazz goodbye scene was really touching.

Look, this show is just objectively good. The way they weave an ensemble cast into both the drama & the humor. They successfully take a character & examine them in the length of an episode while doing it, and make you both laugh & care. It's just good work.
Thr second episode is wonderful.

Is it wrong that
Sazz Hands
made me laugh a lot!
No. Pretty sure they made it a cheap, & frankly corny, joke on purpose, for us to have that exact moment. Even with killer(s) on the loose & very real murder happening & high stakes for the main cast, they couldn't do this recipe without some knocks now & then. I kind of like that about this show.

Great new guest actor additions (which we left one conspicuously unexplored) I'm in for the ride again, undoubtedly.

"I wish I had something to add, but I'm just a manifestation of your rapidly declining mental state, so..."

At least now we know how Sazz and Jane Lynch will continue to appear this season...and it's so perfect. Charles is losing his mind in the best kind of way! :D

...and to the point that we, the audience, genuinely questioned whether or not Jan actually broke out and visited Charles. That was a brilliant twist at the end. :guffaw:

I love the newly introduced Westies and all of their own craziness. That leg shank hanging in the shower was bizarre...and yet right at home at the Arconia. I should've seen the Oh, Hell! twist coming. Somewhere, younger me is cursing me out for not seeing the obvious with the numbers!

This is going to be a bonkers season and I'm all in.

Not at all. I was left in stitches after that line.

Interestingly, it was weirdly recently that I came across reading about a number of Italian meats like prosciutto that are kept just like that. In some cultures it's rather common

I noticed, but only because Arrested Development once had a sight gag with Lucille's prison number being 07734 (HELLO) so the similar number tickled my brain.

Part of me did wonder in the first episode if the twist would have been that the murder was going to take place on a recreated Arconium set in Hollywood

I'm really excited to watch the first couple of episodes this week. I've had to hold off while I wait for my friends to finish traveling so we can watch together.

I love the weekly release cycle of this show so much. I can watch an episode and then discuss the mystery with my mom and my friends and come up with fun theories. Just joyous.

Just finished the marathon me and my fiancee wait for Tuesday each week.. seems a different kind of show having to wait for the next episode compared to deciding when to pause the marathon.. just love the show for the last two weeks or so..

Yeah, I much prefer this model of TV release to Netflix's "dump it out in a day" strategy. It recreates the "water cooler TV" feeling of the past where everyone was on the same page and you didn't have to worry about spoilers so much.

I honestly think the Netflix model helps kill promising shows that might have built word of mouth otherwise.
