OMG! B&B have gone MAD!!! BORG!!!

To be fair, at least Stigma turned out to be a decent episode after all the furore around here.

But this Borg episode has me fuming

They truly have gone too far this time

Please, Morpheus, tell us this synopsis is bogus.

So, I've feared exactly that Borg will come, and this will happen...
but this sounds as a great episode, especially the return to the classic Borg, to the frightening cyborg machines, as we saw them in TNG and FC.

Sounds good, let's see how will they handle it..

Thats not the problem, they shouldn't be in the show at all and are not wanted!

I for one am looking forward to seeing the Borg in Enterprise.

It's not violating continuity or anything - the only continuity it is violating is fan expectations and fan fiction that has been derived from speculation.

It's a shame that we couldn't see 22nd sentury Borg though:(

Exactly.

But what's the big fucking deal? It's only a bloody TV show folks, no need to pull your bloody hair out.

You know what I did when I started to dislike what VOY was doing? I stopped watching the thing. Why don't all you moaners do the same, if you're so bloody angry at this news?

And remember which Borg we're seeing. We're not seeing Voyager Borg, because Voyager hadn't touched the Borg until after First Contact. We're getting the mean mother fuckers from First Contact, for crying out loud! It will be a great episode, in my opinion.

And it's only two bloody drones (number increasing as more people get Borgified :D), it's not like we'll be seeing a Borg Cube. These drones will not have any way of contacting the Borg of the 22nd century (FC established that they needed to enhance the 24th Century deflector dish on the ENT E to be able to contact the Borg), so we ain't gonna see many Borg at all. Either the Borg will be destroyed, or they'll just get hold of some ship and leave for the Delta Quadrant. Heck, it might explain why it takes two hundred years for the Borg to start doing the business in the AQ; it might take the Borg drones two hundred years to get back to the DQ and to tell the Borg about Earth, and the threat that humans will become by the 24th Century, etc. It will only help to tie continuity together.

But what does intrigue me is the fact that this hasn't been used as the season finale. If they are using first contact with the Borg as just the 23rd episode, then they must have something huge planned for the season finale. Otherwise, why wouldn't they use this Borg story as the season finale?

Remember, that it was stated, that there were some rumors about Borg before,
so this could be handled well, but if B&B make them reoccuring villain, THEN IT WOULD BE BIG F**ING SHIT and nothing more.

For one episode, with such good synopsis, it could work, IMO

will someone please just show B&B the frigging door?

a borg ep is preposterous - are to really believe that the TNG crew just swanned off leaving borg debris on the earth? that they wouldn't retrieve it to preserve the timeline?

the borg have no place on ENT - theres a swathe of material from TOS they could use. if this is true then i hope ENT does get cancelled to let it go with at least a modicum of dignity.

its obvious they had no itention of trying anything original, they just thought they could use 'modern' trek and insert it before 'classic' trek.

i weep at just how desperate and unoriginal trek has become under the stewardship of the chickle brothers - they need booting out and a whole new team being brought in to rescue it.

If this show is truly so unimportant, why is your post so angry and abusive of the people who are posting here?

Dear oh dear.

This is headshakingly stupid. Just really REALLY stupid.

But more than that the Borg are so BORING

Fuck, you see they get my goodwill yesterday and piss it away today. B&B are creins of the highest order!

Oh, and Dennis, don't you have to pay up something to Sam now? :)

Also, swarming the Paramount lots will do bugger all.

Scripts still have to go through Paramount, so they've obviously given the go ahead for this episode to be made.

And how to you know that they weren't the ones that asked for the Borg to show up in the first place?

I don't understand why people think that the borg have been overused. The borg are a major star trek race, just like the klingons, cardassians, vulcans, dominion, and others. Have the borg been in more episodes than these four? No.

I look forward to the episode. I think that Enterprise has slightly improved in season 2 and hopefully it will keep getting better. :)

THAANNKKK YYYOOUUU!!!! Picard would get on his hands and knees digging in the dirt himself to find any little scrap of borg left behind. you gonna tell me they didn't even bother to scan the surface after everything the did in the movie to preserve the time line? This is just more BLATANT B.S. by B&B.

OK, now I give up on ENT. This is it.

I had this sneaking suspicion that the Borg would show up sooner rather than later, but I was hoping it was just a suspicion. Just count on B&B to fall back on the Borg when they think one of their shows is failing.

And my! What an inventive title again. "Regeneration" - I'd never have guessed. Star Trek, why hast thou forsaken me? Good thing I still have my TNG DVD's and DS9 coming out this year. For me, there's no more Star Trek on the air these days...

You have to remember what was going on in FC. The Enterprise was hardly working when they left the 21st Century, and they would have presumed that every drone onboard the sphere would have beamed over onto the Enterprise.

Debris from the Borg Sphere would have been the last thing on my mind, if I was in the crews shoes.

Its good to see a First Contact follow up but this NOT how it should have been done. Then I guess they have to do another Temporal Cold War episode where Danials comes back, takes Enterprise to our century to kill B&B for this! :D

I guess I'm just an optimist but I'm hoping it will be done well and we won't see the Borg being a major player in Enterprise. Basically I'm hoping they will be destroyed and we won't see or hear anything from them again. :borg:

I agree ..'they probably did recover the obvious debris from the sphere but missed the stuff in the artic..
Entrerprise was a wreck in first contact.. probably a good portion of her sensors where off line..

Ok I've just had a flashback  . I remember just when Season 2 had gone into production, there was an interview with Berman. He actually mentioned the possibility of Picard appearing in Enterprise (Guinan also). Perhaps "Regeneration" is the beggining of a horrible arc, that will somehow tie into the TCW.

Oh and on a final note. They should rename this episode to: Rehash.

Matt.

See? Some of us were saying this would happen a year ago. I KNEW Berman wouldn't be able to resist it. This is just too funny! Personally, I'm quite looking forward to it!

After the Ferengi, is anyone really surprised to see Borg? Or maybe Enterprise is really an alternate timeline because of FC.
