We were just DAMN lucky the episode was tolerable and didn't ruin continuity. Doesn't mean all such ideas would be executed as well,though...so we shouldn't encourage a lot of episodes like this.

Wow, does this post still exists.

But ok, it stands as a symbol of one of the biggest overreactions ever on this board, I think.. :)

Was there really any need in resurrecting a thread over a year old?! I'm not going to warn you for doing so as no harm done, but we don't make a habit of doing this around here. Considering how large this thread is, if you wanted to discuss the episode Regeneration from a fresh perspective, starting a new thread would have been fine.

It must be the season for it.

There is an almost identical post about Terra Nova in Trek Today News

It confuses me when these old threads come back for no reason.

...I'm puzzled... even thinking about a warning for someone just posting in an old thread seems to me to be over-reacting as much or more as the thread itself did about the episode... if it's that much of an issue just delete or lock the thread!

..oh and to prove I'm not trolling, just shocked, I thought the episode was OK, mostly a stunt but not too bad...

I was not even thinking of issuing a warning for this. I was reassuring the poster that he/she would not be getting one as they have been issued to frequent thread 'bumpers' in the past. This board can be very busy at times and bringing up old threads, especially when not much is being contributed to them, is not encouraged. On top of this as I mentioned earlier, we have had problems with people persistantly ressurecting old threads in the past pushing out current topics.

I was willing to leave this thread open as a one off but considering that it has been derailed in to what should be a Moderator Actions thread I'll follow your suggestion and lock it.
