And besides, there's never gonna be a North American Union anyway. Canada doesn't want it, WE don't want it, literally nobody wants it!
The Ottoman Empire existed for many centuries. The Hapsburg Empire. The Soviet Union for nearly a century. And I could literally go on with dozens more. The status of states is NOT fixed through time.Why would there be any doubt? It's not like nations ceased to exist when United Earth was formed. They just became part of a greater whole.
I mean, the USA still exists, so why wouldn't Canada? It makes no sense.
