If your major issue is political, by Canadian standards the US is a very unified as a country.

In the U.S., there was literally a fascist coup attempt that left five people dead and threatened the life of the outgoing Vice President. There is persistent credible concern about a civil war breaking out. People are being imprisoned for traveling out of state to obtain medical care that is banned in their home state.

The idea that the U.S. is more unified than Canada is completely disconnected from reality.

It's a lot lot different in smaller countries. It's one thing to have fighting parents, it's another when your parents haven't lived in the same state for 15 years. They can claim to have a perfect marriage but when they don't interact with each other there's a problem.

The U.K. suffered a 30-year civil war in Northern Ireland that's threatening to resurface and Scotland keeps trying to secede.

Belgium regularly finds itself unable to form a functional cabinet for months at a time after elections.

Sorry dude, but Canada's issues with national disunity just aren't that special.
