Stewart and Frakes did (seemingly?) joke about the possibility of a movie on the NYCC panel.
It's Moriarty I'm curious about. I can easily see them wasting him in a silly La Sirena holo distraction scene, but the guy's spent a lifetime in that box. There is SO much potential.

Honestly, for the most part? Meh. Action, boom boom, explosion, revenge, etc. etc., the only aspect that seemed interesting was Moriarty. The rest didn't really pique my interest. Don't get me wrong, I love these people, and I love the characters, but I'm kind of tired of this kind of storytelling.

When the character is revealed, you’ll think you know who it is, but won’t be quite certain if you’re correct. The answer to who he will be is not quite clear for a bit.
I suspect Geordi saying "Lore" is either out of context or just pure misdirection.

My interest levels thus far, ranked from most to least:
1. Moriarty.
2. The Enterprise-F.
3. Vadic the villain.
4. Lore.

I really think Moriarty is the "Kahn level" main villain, and this season may be inspired by the TWOK
Moriarty = Kahn
Countess Regina Barthalomew (corrupted program?) = Lieutenant Marla McGivers (died)
Holocube = Ceti Alpha 5
Beverly Crusher (distress signal) = Carol Marcus (call for help/information)
Lore/Data (Data death reversal?) = Spock

Maybe so. I don't know, I'm kind of in a mood today where I'm just exhausted from seeing so much darkness, death, and destruction.

The trailer is awesome. Admittedly I've felt like Picard is a show that has trailers that are much better then the actual show ends up being, especially in Season 2, but just seeing the TNG cast again, along with apparently Lore and Moriarty of all people, mean that I'm sure this season is going to be better then Season 2, and I'm excited to see it.
The actual line following Geordi's comment is:
"I am not Lore. I am mirror universe Data."
Just kidding.... I hope.
On the whole I find trailers to suck. They get us talking. That's it.
Well, we know it's definitely not Frakes's final voyage. As long as there's Star Trek, he's always coming back.
Indeed. While it is a well put together trailer, the actual content is shockingly generic.
That modified Spacedock has more changes than the added platforms around the main :-Dsection, the lower bell shape seems flare wider, need to get a side by side reference.
I do not play STO so I am unfamiliar with the Odyssey class, looks nice except the back half of tbe nacelles tapers too daintily, looks decorative.
I hope tbe Moriarty character works out. He was created on the holodeck able to outsmart Data, his holoprogram had the resources of the Enterprise's main computer to support that.

It's all a misdirect. Daniel Davis isn't playing Moriarty, he's a time-traveling Niles from The Nanny. And Brent Spiner isn't playing Lore, he's playing an evil version of his silly character that interrupts Patrick Stewart's convention Q&As.
