Looks to be a mixture of potentially interesting and boring. Do we really need yet another 'revenge on a main character' plot? Hackneyed beyond belief.

I've noticed that franchises just keep bringing back characters to send them off again (usually worse than the first time). They'll just keep making content to keep the streaming service afloat. Hopefully it's entertaining at least.
What if the baddie is T-Reg, gone off their rocker after decades of iffy treatment in "utopia"?
I'm impressed and intrigued by the Pulp Fiction actor, but not her character's decades overdone personal/petty revenge motivations (unless it's a deconstruction or bait and switch, and she's the secondary antagonist who is used as a patsy and complicates things).

Sure. But that does not mean that Picard S3 will automatically suck. As I mentioned before, we don't know the exact plot or anything about the villain. Maybe this villain and the plot will be great?
I think some people may be jumping to conclusions just because the trailer gives the impression that the villain will be out for revenge so they assume it will be a Khan ripoff and therefore will suck. But we know very little about this villain. So calling the villain a Khan ripoff at this point is premature IMO.
