People can watch them. Since the penalty exists but is not enforced, people can also watch through piracy. Most young people in Türkiye who enjoy watching foreign shows used piracy for years. However, people in Türkiye generally prefer watching local content. For that reason, digital platforms in Türkiye also produce local content. Another reason is attracting subscribers in Middle Eastern and Latin American countries where Turkish shows are popular. Türkiye ranks third in the world in TV series exports. At one point, Turkish series even started being broadcast on Spanish-language channels in the United States with English or Spanish subtitles or dubbing; Variety also reported on that.
Didn't know Turkish tv was so popular! That's pretty cool

Actually, most people my age (I'm 28) and I, including myself, don't like many Turkish shows. But many Turkish actors whose acting we mock online are highly regarded abroad. One of them even went international and performed in shows in Italy, Spain and England (Can Yaman). In fact, in England, he appeared in a pirate-themed show called *Sandokan* alongside John Hannah and the actor who played Chuck in *Gossip Girl*. The show was independently filmed and then broadcast in many countries and on many platforms. It will be broadcast on Prime Video in Turkey; in the US, it was broadcast on Netflix.

Also, in recent years, Turkish actor Haluk Bilginer played an Italian character in the film Maria, starring Angelina Jolie. But he has acted in many British and American films since the 1980s. He was also involved in theater in Turkey, appearing in comedy tv shows in the 90s and 2000s, then focusing solely on theater for a long time again. With the proliferation of many domestic and foreign digital platforms in Turkey, he also participated in various digital platform tv show projects.

Yet factory workers aren't being displaced en masse, or any jobs for that matter. It's just something capitalists and conservatives say to try to scare workers from striking for better wages and working conditions, which doesn't work anyway
I'm not a factory worker, but I can tell you first hand that people are definitely being replaced. At the end of last year the Lowe's where I work went from having 6 or 8 manual checkouts with 2-4 cashiers working at a time, to 6 self checkouts and two manual checkouts usually with only 1 cashier watching them all. Sometimes if we're lucky we might get a second cashier, but they usually end going to cover breaks or something, so it's still pretty rare to have more than one person watching all 6 checkouts.
Never seen Rings of Power but yeah I've heard nothing good about it. So yeah I agree that there's reason to be afraid of anything Amazon handles, but I think Martin Gero and Joseph Mallozzi and such were prob making something at least decent. Of course I have no idea without reading scripts and such

Personally, I find Rings of Power pretty wonderful, actually. If it doesn’t match all the minutiae I spent all those years reading (though it matches plenty), I honestly don’t care; the show itself rather takes me away, and I couldn’t even tell you exactly why.
I'm a huge fan of Rings of Power too, it does a lot of it's own stuff, but it's still pretty much following the basics of what we know from the books. The only thing I know of for sure that it is directly contradicting the books is Gandalf's origin, but that's been one of my favorite storylines in the shows, so it doesn't bother me. Pretty much all adaptations make changes like that, and it really has stayed pretty close to the books in most of the other parts of the show.

The data shows that AI and automation are basically what I said they were, bs hype

non-diversity. Geez are we arguing about this stuff again? I have to chime in here because every time some schmut uses these two words they can never explain why they use these two words. Did you not watch all of TOS because original Trek showed diversity

Wouldn't that planet now have the Earth address?

Euronda, the planet from "The Other Side"?

Initially, they (i.e., the Space Nazi Eurondans) reached out to Earth - a long-shot gamble, in their estimation - for help against their enemies; once SG-1 turns on their "allies", the bunker is buried in rubble because of the Breeders (thanks to an unexpected opening in their enemy's defenses). Presumably, all of the Eurondans inside were killed.

Plus, the original cast had once-in-a-lifetime levels of chemistry; good luck replicating that sort of dynamic.
Atlantis wasn't imo as good as sg1 during its peak but it was still good. I wasn't expecting the new show to be as good, just good enough

I doubt a new series will produce scenes equally as good as (if not "better than") the ending of "The Other Side".

Given that this new series not going forward, I would have to say that you are absolutely correct, by default.

The new series had the right people writing for it, or at least they were the right people back in the early 2000s. I've seen recently that sometimes creators just don't have the magic any more. But man, I would've taken a chance on it anyway.

Yeah it was showran by one of Atlantis's main writers and producers and he assembled essentially, at least imo, a Stargate dream team to write the show. So to say I'm disappointed is an understatement lol

Ah ok. Still a great episode and chilling when they close the iris. That brief splatter was that guy chasing after them.
