The opening credits actually appear to answer the question, at least implicitly. You see Hank, Peggy and Bobby get in the shuttle to go to the airport with their luggage. Everyone waves goodbye, including Joseph and Connie. Later, when Hank and Peggy return in the Uber, they return without Bobby. After they settle in/take down the "for rent" sign and are back in the alley, Bobby comes walking up. As the show states Bobby is now 21 and didn't go to college, the implied back story is that Bobby went to Saud-eye Arabia to finish High School and came back alone after graduation to start his restaurant. Eventually, Hank and Peggy came home and the family reunited.

Overall, I liked the season a lot. Ep 3 was favorite. Eps 4 and 5 dipped a little in quality (they seemed more like discarded Simpsons ideas than KotH concepts) but the rest of the season was overall excellent (even if I do not believe there is any scenario under which Buck wasn't dead by now of either a heart attack, liver failure or being murdered by his umpteenth wife).
As for Buck being alive. Keith Richards shows us you can live a rough life and last a long time. Some people are just lucky.

the revival should have been season 1
well what if there are people that did not watch season 1 to 13 and only think that the term revivial means a new start from season 1 and at the same time do not know why the revival starts at season 14
its like fuller house for example how its was a revival and started off as season 1 but does not countinue where full house left off by season numbers

This is for season 2 of the reboot? I really liked the first season. They need to let Khan have his old voice back IMO if they are going to keep using the character. The new guy sucked. One of the few negatives of last season.
It appears that is the case and, yes, they either need to bring back Toby Huss or find an Asian actor who sounds like Toby Huss, because Ronnie Chieng sure doesn't.

Yeah, every time "Khan" speaks it takes me right out of the scene. If the producers couldn't find a soundalike or were uncomfortable using a voice like the original for some reason (either by the original actor or an Asian actor soundalike), they should have just killed the character off.
