News New episodes of King of the Hill coming to hulu.

I watched Ep 1 of the new season last night and enjoyed it quite a bit, especially Hank's consternation that people would think he owned an electric truck.

From what I saw in an online preview, I may have to skip the episode about Lady Bird, however. :wah:

Not Lady Bird.. :wah:

that’s why I knew it was him. Guy is a massive hypocrite
Hypocrite or not, in (IIRC) the very next episode we saw the insane lengths he goes to every day in order to delete his digital footprint and avoid the kind of tracking and gathering of personal data that having the truck would entail. If anything, given how paranoid he is, he would have had the truck registered to Hank (which, now that I think of it, could have worked as a nice plot point in that ep).

I'm enjoying the season a lot so far, maybe even more insightful about culture than it used to be. Also Bobby might have some of the best character development ever. He has a higher emotional IQ than the rest of the characters combined.

The dog episode reminded me of the very short lived Goode Family when the grandfather adopted that exaggeratedly hideous animal. That show could have worked if they made the characters a little more empathetic.

(For those unfamiliar, Goode Family was "King of the Hill but with liberals". The funniest thing about it might be the dog they were forcing to be a vegan and who was then preying on neighborhood pets. The problem is they focused more on the hypocritical and performative elements of liberalism without also showing the positive side like they do with King of the Hill's conservatism. I think it lasted like 6 episodes.)

Dale's new voice is much better. Even Khan's was slightly better but I guess it will never be good again. I like the potential promise indicated in the season final over what me might be seeing Hank doing in season 3.

I am surprised we didn't get a flashback of Cotton in the season.
