The T'Pol subplot, on the other hand, good grief! What was that? a desperate ratings ploy to show off jolene blalock? ugh.
Yeah, that was pretty bad -- a total embarrassment...

I just finished "The Expanse." wow, that's the kind of kick in the rear this series needed. Alot went on in that hour. Nice to see the Klingon arc wrapped up. Too bad that wasn't a two hour episode. So much shoved in for an hour. My excitement for this series has shot way up thanks to this episode. I just hope this season-ender isn't wrapped up in one episode next season. I'm gonna get to the beginning of season 3 later today.

I got through a few episodes of the third season this weekend. Wow, what a difference! Next episode I'll be on is "The Shipment." This season has, so far, been incredible. I find the expanse a fascinating area of space. "The Xindi" was kinda boring for a season premiere. It felt like more of the same. Oh no! Archer is trapped and has to escape! But "Anomoly" was TERRIFIC! that should have been the season premiere. These spheres are very interesting. I will say the one thing about "The Xindi," i was shocked to see the Xindi homeworld already destroyed. That confused me. "Extinction" was pretty neat. I thought it was an intriguing idea to have a race create a virus to keep their race alive. "Rajiin" was average. "Impulse" was pretty good. I have to say the visual effects on this show are outstanding. That asteroid field was one of the best i've seen, maybe surpassing the asteroid field in star wars episode II. "Exile" wasn't bad. Even if it was a beauty and the beast update of sorts. I'm interested in finding out why these spheres were placed here. Overall, great season so far.

If you liked Anomoly - wait until you get to Azati Prime & Damage. Also, upthread you said you liked the Andorians so you'll probably enjoy Proving Ground.

So glad you're enjoying season three! I love hearing your enthusiasm for the epi's. The best is yet to come... Similitude! I really liked the ones mentioned above as well. I would also add, The Forgotten. :(

This is pretty much how I felt about the first few episodes too. Anomaly was the real stand out.

You've got two of the big favourites around here coming up - Twilight and Similitude - can't wait to hear your take on those!

Season 3 is my favorite. :) I loved Twilight. Similitude -- you know I never really loved that one, but would be curious to hear what you thought (err, that applies really to anyone). I sure enjoyed Azati Prime and Damage (which are also on their way to ya).

Yeah, Impulse. I really like that one. I remember when seeing it the first time I thought it was pretty good, but I'm amazed that episode has held up so well.

I did the same thing. Enterprise was not viewable in my area. When it finally came on SciFi channel I bought the complete 4 seasons on DVD from Ebay. I can tell you that watching it this way is much better. While watching the occasional episode on HD or SciFi I got aggravated with the decontamination chamber and pressure points as just a way to show skin. Watching the 4 seasons on DvD in a two month span got me very attached to the show and the crew. I’ve seen a lot of posts from others that also say they never liked it until they got the series on DVD and watched it through.

My advice, don’t watch the last episode of season four and don’t ask why. I will leave it at that.

i just finished "Twilight." Awesome episode. Even though it was done years before on TNG's "Yesterday's Enterprise," I still love alternate reality episodes. Wow, seeing the Enterprise's bridge blasted away with everyone in it, was a site! I think the parasite infection was a unique way of undoing the timeline. Great episode.

What did you think of "The Shipment"? I always liked that episode.
"The Shipment" was really good. It was nice to see the Xindi finally get some depth.
I finished "North Star" and "Similitude." North star was very strange. It was such a bad homage to westerns. "Back to the Future III" was such a better scifi/western story. I about groaned at the end with the phaser/gun shootout. And archer getting put in jail YET AGAIN.
"Similitude", on the other hand, had a lot of interesting ideas. A very good trek episode that I think Gene Roddenberry would have approved of.
Now its on to "Carpenter Street."

Got through a few more episodes tonight. "Carpenter Street" was very blah for the most part. I'd sure like to know how those Xindi were able to travel through time. I did like the scene with Archer and T'Pol figuring out how to drive the truck. It was a nice homage to TOS' "A Piece of the Action."
"Chosen Realm" wasn't bad. It was nice to see some more expanding of the spheres. But the taking the ship over plot, i feel, has been done to death.
"Proving Ground" Great episode! Nice to see Shran again. He is becoming my favorite guest starring character. Loved the dynamic between Archer and Shran in this one.
"Strategem" was so-so. I liked the twists in that one. Although I'd love to know what this 3 week diversion would be diverting them from.
"Harbinger" was interesting. I liked seeing the Reed/Hayes interaction. That was some good stuff. Great to see more covered on those Spheres. I sure hope to find out who made those things and why.
"Doctor's Orders" great great episode. I gotta say, I kinda was suspicious that there was some twist to the episode. Once it was shown about T'Pol, i thought back through the episode, and went Duh! Because there were tons of clues about T'Pol.
I'm about halfway through season 3. Much better than the cut-and-dry season 2. But I think season 1 is still my favorite so far.

I had the same reaction to Carpenter Street. Some people loved it, but I could have gotten by without it.

I'm also a big fan of Shran and Proving Ground is among my favorite episodes of the series.

As for Harbinger, the Reed/Hayes rivalry didn't seem well-established enough to make the fight much of a payoff. (I did get a kick out of "Are we dismissed?" after Archer ripped them a new one and then left them standing there.)

I also liked Stratagem. It was an interesting approach to getting information out of an enemy.

Chosen Realm and Doctor's Orders were kind of meh for me (particularly DO, since it contributed literally nothing to the mission).

Anyway, glad you're enjoying the season! And there are some really great episodes coming up! You're so lucky! Most of us had to wait a whole week -- and a lot more during the holidays -- for each episode that year. :)

I watched Similitude Commentary Version last night. It is the first time a commentary kept me interested enough to get through the entire episode.

I watched "Hatchery" and "Azati Prime" tonight. Hatchery was another meh episode. I've seen the mutiny story done a million times by now. Nothing new there. I knew something was gonna be wrong with Archer as soon as he got hit by that spray.
Azati Prime on the other hand, WOW! I can't believe that wasn't the season ender. It was nice to see all the little pieces of the season get tied together in this one. It was nice to finally see how was responsible for those spheres. And dang, did the enterprise take a pounding! I sure hope we don't see yet ANOTHER miraculous repair of the ship through some kind of time altering means from daniels. Really anxious to see the next episode "Damage." I'll probably watch it tomorrow night.
