indianatrekker26, glad you enjoy the show. I feel I have to warn you, after a good start season 2 becomes quite mediocre with a number of bland episodes. Keep watching though, as the episodes become a lot better near the end of the season. Once you've reached that point, it's a rollercoaster ride through excellent Star Trek.

And Regeneration rocks, despite it being a shaky idea in the first place.
I didn't think it was a shaky idea. I won't divulge details just in case indianatrekker26 hates spoilers as much as I do :), but I thought it was a pretty clever premise.

Ultimately it turned out really well, but my stomach turned when I first read about the concept to this episode on section31.com. I just didn't see this episode fit into the series and it's setting in the Trek timeline. At that time I was aching for Orions, Tellarites and Tholians, more connections with TOS in general, so I was shocked by the concept for Regeneration. Now it's one of my favourite episodes of the second season. :)

hmmmm, i'm feeling anxious/apprehensive about "Regeneration" from everything said about it. But I like to keep an open mind about it. I'm midway through "Vanishing Point." Interesting episode so far. "The Communicator" was pretty good. I liked seeing another episode show why the Prime Directive will eventually be needed. "Singularity" was just,,, bland. Talk about beating a dead horse raw. They've used this story theme a million times. I'm hoping the Andorians show up again. The 1st season showed real promise what with showing alien races that will eventually form the Federation. The second season is turning quite bland so far. but i'm sticking to it.

I liked "Singularity" for its absurdity. Malcolm and Trip almost tearing each other to pieces over a chair and an alert sound was priceless. Must have been a fun episode for the actors.

If you enjoyed the episodes that hint towards the forming of the Federation, you're in for a real treat.

just curious where u got the series on sale. Here, on sale means 79 dollars a season !
I actually purchased these from my brother-in-law. He didn't want them anymore, so he sold the entire series to me for 50 bucks.

hmm, "Precious Cargo" was more mundane trek. Reminded me alot of the episode "Eylaan of Troyius." The actress they hired was quite hot, but wow quite a wooden performance. Was she some kinda cross-promotion with the Tyra Banks model show?

Season 2 was full of real hit or miss epi's... not many in-betweens. As for the suffering through the worst, "A Night in Sickbay" got my vote for worst.

If you like Trip, you're in for a treat with "Dawn". You'll learn a lot more about Mayweather in "Horizon".

yeah, i just finished "Dawn." it was so/so, just felt like a ripoff of the movie Enemy Mine. I'm on "Stigma." Wow, an episode that tackles HIV/AIDS. Seems like something Roddenberry would have done on TOS.

The ex-Mrs. Salman Rushdie. Worst guest in all of ENT.

You've suffered through the worst episode of ENT.
Yeah, as I've told others: Not even Connor -- as good as he is -- could elevate the script or his "adversary's" performance.

ah that's good to know. The episode I'm on right now, "The Catwalk" is so far, a vast improvement over "Precious Cargo."
Yeah, Catwalk was a neat episode. I thought it was pretty cool seeing the crew jammed into such a small space.

I'm currently watching "Cease Fire." IMO, by far the best episode of Enterprise yet this season. Always nice to see the Andorian/Vulcan conflict.

Wow, you really are plowing through the series!
You'll see some more good stuff coming up, including an episode where we see how Trip and Archer met.

Oh come on. I don't know why people have problems with the Ferengi being in Enterprise. They never state the exact time the Federation/Humans had first heard of them. Data said in that early TNG episodes that all they knew of the Ferengi were mostly rumors. Its possible one of those rumors was about a vague log entry that survived the Romulan war that describes a Ferengi aboard the NX-01... Real history is full of stuff like that.

Once on a tour in Mexico, a guide said some historians believe one of the pharoahs sent a ship across the Atlantic, carrying African slaves who somehow stayed behind along with the local natives millennia ago.

looks like im done with Enterprise for a while. My girlfriend's on her way over for a while. She's getting me into another series i never watched, Friends. So far, season 1 of Enterprise has been far superior to season 2.

Well, speaking for myself... It wasn't a matter of continuity with TNG that made this episode problematic at the time. Let's go back to 2001. Voyager has ended and now we have Enterprise, with a premisse that allows for something truly different from the other Trek shows. Yet a few episodes into the first season they bring in the Ferengi, a species that has been done to death on TNG and especially DS9! They even appeared twice on Voyager. This is just not something I want to see... again.

Add to that, granted it is not a breach of continuity, but it is creating an awkward situation and bending of continuity, and for what? The Ferengi... now, had they bent continuity in order to show us the Gorn, a fan-favoured species that had not been seen since TOS, it would have been different. Bringing back the Ferengi just seemed lazy, the Beebs favouring 24th century Trek over TOS once again, and a waste of the Enterprise concept.
