I wasn't sure about that one, but if I had remembered Mitchell's comment I would have been certain. Good first clue. We definitely could have got that in one clue, but we needed to be sharp to do it.

Clue #1 I doubt this character was born on a sunny day.

 

[Henoch]

Natira, the high priestess of the people of Yonada.

1. She was born on a free flying asteroid with no sun to make a sunny day.

Good thinking, but unfortunately I was not also thinking good. Natira and all the inhabitants of Yonada are therefor excluded.

Clue #2 The statement in clue #1 is a bit bold and unsubstantiated. Perhaps it was a partly sunny day. Or, given the tendency of expectant parents to plan ahead, both statements are just silly and without merit.

 

[Phaser Two]

Hmmmm. Spock. He's a bit pallid and the mentions of logic in parental planning seem to suggest Vulcan involvement.

No, not Spock.

Clue #3 OK, clues 1 and 2 are still important, but lets forget about those right now. The chief reason I wanted to bring up this character's parents is that, unlike Spock, he followed his father's teachings, just as his father followed the teachings of his own father. He also took over the job of his father when the time was right.

 

[Henoch]

Rojan of Kelva?
1. Born on a spaceship traveling between galaxies. No sun.
2. Both parents planned his birth to continue the multi-generational space journey.
3. Obviously, he took over the mission of his father: the Kelvan Empire sent forth ships to explore other galaxies, to search for one which our race could conquer and occupy.

Awesome guess, but not what I was thinking.

Clue #4 This character is tall, strong, well-built and has a good constitution. But, somehow he was only aware of 3 out of the 4.

Wow, these clues are fantastic.

Salish?

1. The sunny day could be a reference to the fact that, for some reason only partially explored by the script, there seems to be a link between storms on the planet and the asteroid.

2. Same.

3. Salish took over his father's job, with of course some missing information.

4. I'm sensing a pun here or something and I'm not quite getting it. Perhaps it's that Salish wasn't aware of his own strength in that he could wound a god.

I really like your guess. Both you and Henoch are zeroing in on the chief characteristics. It's not Salish.

Clue #5 Like Salish the character is a native of his planet.

Ah. I know the answer, for certain I believe. Very clever, SPB. But in fairness to my good friend Henoch From the Other Side (as well as anyone else who may want to play - come on in, folks, this is an absolutely outstanding way to learn new things about Star Trek!), I'll wait for at least Henoch to guess again, and perhaps some others as well should they so desire.

General Trelane, retired.
1. Lives on a stormy planet.
2. Trelane was silly, or maybe the entire episode was silly and without merit.
3. Parents issues.
4. Liked to check himself out in the mirror.

Cloud William.
1. Probably not born on a sunny day, or he wouldn't have that name.
2. I believe this was mostly SPB making pretty hilarious metacommentary on Cloud William's lack of verbosity and/or the illiterate (to us) renderings of the "holy words."
3. Son of a chief and the son of the son of a chief.
4. He's tall, strong, and well-built but he does know he has a strong Constitution until Kirk tells him so. And assuming I'm right, I think that is one of the most clever clues in the history of this game.
5. A native of the planet.
