I have nothing against the Pirates, Cardinals or Dodgers. I'm kinda hoping for the Pirates to win the NL pennant, though, since they've had the longest drought.

As for the AL: Either Oakland or Tampa Bay.

I'm from PA and can remember the "We are Family" days.

So that's my sentiment for the Bucs.

For instance, I could care less if the Cubs ever make the play-offs again.

One of the teams I was actively rooting against (the Braves) got eliminated already. So once the Red Sox suffer a similar fate, I will have no dog in this fight.

Hey now.

I just saw where Chipper Jones had to throw the first pitch to the mascot because he picked the Dodgers to win the series. Nobody on the team would go out and catch the pitch.

I'm a life long Yankees fan, but I don't hate the Red Sox.

:)

I do have a problem with their bleeding heart fans though. What a bunch of anti-capitalist hypocrites.

"The Yankees payroll"....

Boy, I wish they would have signed Choke Rod...

Oh, there should be a law....

... if I'm watching a Dodgers play-off game, I should be able to listen to Vin Scully...

Something I'd like to see is A-Roid cashiered out of baseball altogether.

I was wondering why he was throwing to Homer.

that would be asking too much I'm afraid.

On the plus side, though, because the Sox won in 4 games, they get a little more rest, and can reset the roster. The As/Tigers game still has to play, and they're burning through their best starters right now trying to survive. With luck, winner of that will roll into Fenway on Saturday a little worn down and having to throw their #3 starter in game 1.

Definitely gotta play the games and whatnot, but as far as how it's setting up, you have to like it as a Red Sox fan...
