All right, then. I enjoy the Holland/Zendaya stories and the Spider-Man characters - Peter, MJ, May and Ned and so on, as presented in these films better than any version other than the Miles Morales animateds. Which are the best.

In fact, if this is really the last of these that the current cast will do, maybe Sony should move on to Miles. He's a proven attraction on his own and it avoids recasting and retelling the same Peter Parker stories over and over.

Unfortunately, we're not going to see live action Miles Morales any time soon. Feige recently noted that he's been told by Sony to stay away for at least as long they're producing animated films about him.

We will just get a recast Peter Parker - these films just make too much money for Sony plus the contractual need to actually make films with him as the hero.

The usual Marvel bullshit here...

Yeah, that is a bit odd. I thought they pretty much always had full shooting script done by the time they started filming. Don't need to know everything that's going to be in the whole movie so they can plan everything out in advance?

As cool as the MCU suits have been, it's nice to see them going for a more traditional suit thistime.
Maybe that possible young avengers/heroes series is still doable. I really want to see more Kate Bishop and Ms Marvel scenes together.
I could definitely see Clint as the adult mentor for Young Avengers/Champions since he has an established relationship with Kate. Or maybe they could go with Capt. Marvel if they want to build off her relationship with Kamala in The Marvels

Yeah, they need that because Marvel shoots expensive movies with half-done scripts.
My understanding is that is very common in Hollywood with big effects movies. Not exclusive to Marvel at all. Which is baffling and explains a lot of problems the business is having.

Planned reshoots to fix mistakes discovered in editing is a different thing. That is correcting things that a finished script did not foresee. But spending huge amounts of money to largely improv a movie is madness.

I remember a Disney story, I think when Michael Eisner and Jeffery Katzenberg came to the studio in the 80s. They had to taught by the animators that you can not edit an animated movie. At least not the same way you do with live action. Everything needs to be planned in advanced. Otherwise you are throwing away hours and hours of work on unneeded animation. That seems a lesson these big effects movies would benefit from.
