I like the visible webshooters. They make more sense that way. The only reason they weren't that way in the comics was that it was easier to draw, which isn't an issue in live action.

But then, I'm used to external webshooters since I grew up with Nicholas Hammond's single wristband webshooter in the '70s TV show.

They aren't that hard to draw. Other characters have wrist mounted weapons. (Including Black Widow). What they do do is interfere with the flow of the costume.

I didn't say they were hard to draw, I said it was easier not to. There's a difference. It's not like there are only two difficulty settings in life.

If they wanted the shooter on the outside of the costume, Ditko would have put them there. I'm willing to bet the costume came first and the mechanics of the web-shooters later. (In real world development)

Robert Downey Jr posted on Instagram his summer music and reading list.
At the top of it was the trade paperback version of Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars from 1984-85.
I wonder if that means we will see The Beyonder in some way shape or form.

That's my point -- they didn't want to, because it simplified things. You mention Black Widow, but she didn't adopt the costume you mention with the visible wrist devices until 1970. The artwork in 1961 comics was simpler, the printing generally cheaper, so costumes back then were less detailed. Or maybe, as you say, Ditko just didn't want to bother with drawing visible shooters. I don't see why you're picking an argument when we're not really that far apart.
