He's always looking for a "father figure". Usually doesn't turn out well.

Not sure if this is a reference to Deadpool and Wolverine, but if it is, I've got zero interest in that movie or its two predecessors despite being a huge fan of the rest of the XMCU.

It was a reference to 70s Spider-Man. Both The Punisher and the Hulk appeared in the pages of Spider-Man. The Hulk and Spidey story took place in Canada around the same time Wolverine first appeared in The Incredible Hulk.

Yeah, it was a Spider-Man Annual where the Hulk appeared.
I can't remember the exact details, but I know Peter was in Canada covering a story and he ran into the Hulk and General Ross.

If this is a reference to Infinity War, I genuinely didn't care about Peter getting Blipped because, as noted, I didn't care for Tony and Peter's relationship.

There were so many more powerful 'death moments' from IW that I cared so much more about and was much more affected by.

The dynamic between Parker and Stark was great. Improved both characters.
