Not sure if this is a reference to Deadpool and Wolverine, but if it is, I've got zero interest in that movie or its two predecessors despite being a huge fan of the rest of the XMCU.

It was a reference to 70s Spider-Man. Both The Punisher and the Hulk appeared in the pages of Spider-Man. The Hulk and Spidey story took place in Canada around the same time Wolverine first appeared in The Incredible Hulk.

Yeah, it was a Spider-Man Annual where the Hulk appeared.
I can't remember the exact details, but I know Peter was in Canada covering a story and he ran into the Hulk and General Ross.

And yet created beautiful moments that are well worth the price of admission.

If this is a reference to Infinity War, I genuinely didn't care about Peter getting Blipped because, as noted, I didn't care for Tony and Peter's relationship.

There were so many more powerful 'death moments' from IW that I cared so much more about and was much more affected by.

I get the impression that the MCU is trying to move away from alternate realities and space stuff and do a return to Earth approach with their stories. Which makes sense to me. A Doctor Strange or Thor movie might be the exceptions. The Guardian stories are over. Captain Marvel failed as a character. Nobody cared about the Eternals. Not much reason to be out in space at this point. X-Men tend to be earth centered stories.

Since none of that is an accurate or fair characterization, no answer is necessary and you'll receive none.

It's absolutely an accurate and fair characterization.

Civil War, Homecoming, Far From Home, and Infinity War took everything that defined Spider-Man as a character and discarded it by first making him Tony's "shadow" and then by making him a lackey of "Fury".

No Way Home started to mitigate the damage of those decisions by forcing him to actually deal with the consequences of his own stupidity and by contrasting him against two vastly superiorly characterized Variants of himself, with the inclusion of said Variants being the only reason that the movie wasn't trash like its predecessors.

Well, their next projects are a film set in an alternate reality where the main characters fight a cosmic villain and a couple of films with a massive crossover featuring characters from other universes. After that we get the X-Men, who as noted are no strangers to the cosmic. So the cosmic side seems safe. And as with previous phases, there will no doubt be grounded films like the Cap and Iron Man ones.

If you're looking for things like "Poor feeble Aunt May" and "Always Poor Peter with no money" and "Never able to get any recognition for his genius", those things don't really fly in the modern era anymore.

He and May can't afford a house? They did the sensible thing and moved into a smaller apartment.

Peter with no money and a bad school? Modern practices would mean he would've been tested and put in a school better suited to him without needing a Private Academy for Rich Kids.

Less money? Society has changed enough that May can go out and get a job for once.

It's set in a different universe but also set in the 60's even it's a slightly different kind of 60's . While I know they can do cosmic stuff with the X-Men my guess is most of the early stuff will centered on earth. I get the feeling that since the characters are going to be young will basically see arc of all these mutants eventually coming together to be called X-Men. Sort of how they slowly built up the Avengers.

What I wanted from MCU Spider-Man is a character who was similar to the 1994 Animated Series, the Raimi and TASM movies, and the Ultimate Comics versions of the character, not a character who is almost totally dependent on other people (Tony and "Fury") to actually do anything significant.
