I have no pony in this race, but I will say the concept sounds fantastic and probably would work best as a film.

As a huge Thunderbolts fan, I'd be extremely disappointed if they didn't use her at all. She's *the* classic face and central character of the entire concept.
IIRC doesn't she have a connection to the Power Broker? With Sharon still on the board that seems like the natural vector for her introduction, though not sure if that could happen at any point before 'Thunderbolts'. 'Secret Invasion' and 'CA4' seems like the most likely candidates.

I don't recall the PB ever being mentioned in any Thunderbolts stuff. Perhaps she had a connection when she was still Screaming Mimi, I haven't read all of her appearances from back then.

I could be getting my wires crossed, but I could have sworn Power Broker was in the mix somewhere.
The connection you're thinking of might be the wrestling connection. The Grapplers were part of the superpowered wrestling organization featured in The Thing comic. Most of the rest of the wrestlers did indeed get their powers from the Power Broker, but not the Grapplers.

That sounds about right.
Even so, I think Sharon would be a better way to introduce her into the MCU. Yeah, Roxxon has been a presence in the MCU since forever, but it's always been more of a background thing so they'd have to do more legwork to establish some actual characters and motivations. On a similar note, the super-wrestlers thing can easily be switched out for Xialing's fighting pit, especially since Abomination is already involved in that.

All right, this calls for the Stan Lee voice... *clears throat*

"Not a trick! Not a stunt! We know you had so much fun before, True Believers... and so did we! Yet there was SO MUCH MORE we could have done...and now we're DOING it - because YOU DEMANDED IT!!! Get ready to websling, reunite with friends old and new, and have your minds blown all over again, Webheads! EXCELSIOR!!!"

On the subject of Roxxon: they're basically Ms. Marvel's biggest archnemesis and as far as I know we still don't really know who the villain of MM is going to be, do we?

Maybe we'll see something from them very soon.

Maybe it's just me, but I kind of like how Roxxon has been just a stand-in for basically ALL faceless, amoral, profit obsessed, grossly incompetent, and irresponsible mega-corporations, not a front for some secret cabal bent on world domination or whatever. I feel like adding some Lex Luthor style villain would only dilute that. Also that would be giving actual billionaires more credit than they really deserve.

Punisher is one of the worst comic book characters created too date. In a genre filled with vigilantism he manages to present as one that is completely lacking any sort of empathy. That I had friends who liked him still makes me shake my head.
Ditto. Which is why I was *really* surprised that I loved the fist season. I chalk it up to Jon Bernthal's performance.

I like both the Netflix and Disney+ MCU shows. That's still allowed, right?
Me too, so as far as I'm concerned, it's not only allowed, but Cool.

Frank Castle is one of those 'rorschach test' characters, where the relative merits in any particular incarnation is more a reflection of a given writer's proclivities and the times in which he appears than anything the character really brings to the table.
His original introduction was as an antagonist, and only intended as a one-off b-lister at that. Shallow and two dimensional by design. But the books sold and he apparently got a lot of fanmail they they kept bringing him back, which kind of necessitated making him more of an anti-hero. His early popularity shouldn't come as much of a surprise given this was the era of 'Dirty Harry', 'Death Wish', 'French Connection' and 'The Day of the Jackal' ; bad-cop anti-heroes and assassins abound!

The next big spike from him came out of the 80's Frank Miller era (along with Daredevil and Electra) and well . . . Frank Miller is going to Frank Miller up the joint, and in fairness: at the time his style was a breath of fresh(ish) air for superhero comics. Of course in hindsight (as with most of Miller's oeuvre) it seems the crazed over the top bombast wasn't actually intended to be the parody that it appeared to be, but hindsight is always 20/20.

Then the 90's were a death spiral of 90's silliness (and the bad artwork that typified the period) before Ennis brought the character back from the brink and re-centred him on the whole "veterans with PTSD" angle; as grounded and "realistic" as the character has ever been, and as it happened almost perfectly in time for 9/11 and the massive wave of fetishization of the U.S. military that followed in it's wake. And he's basically stayed like that ever since.

For me personally; I can take or leave Frank. When used well he's a great foil and addition to a balanced ensemble; a great example of a character with an uncompromising "black and white" sense of morality, where the ends always justify the means (without flinching on how utterly unlikable and arrogant such a person would be). Which is why he's such a perfect match for Matt Murdock (AKA: Catholic Guilt Personified.) On his own though, he tends to flounder and wallow. Probably why I never got through the second season on Netflix. by the third or fourth episode I just didn't really care.

The Daniel Destin Cretin / Shang-Chi connection is interesting given the cosmic nature of Simon's powers. I wonder if this will be leading into a connection to the rings and an appearance in the Shang-Chi sequel?

Granted my exposure to the character is limited to only a few early 90s comics and the Marvel Trading Cards of the same period, but Wonder Man always seemed rather bland to me. I'm curious to see how he's utilized here.
