Hate to derail this thread with MCU info, but in a bit of casting news that makes me wonder what the hell this series is going to be about Faran Tahir will be reprising his role as 10 Rings terrorist Raza from the original 'Iron Man' in 'Vision Quest'.

That's not a name I expected to see popping back up after all these years, especially not in Vision Quest.

Disney/LFL had an agenda: use the one Black male lead and define him as a tokenized embarrassment by making him a long-lived Hollywood stereotype of Black men: a comedic sanitation worker (of all things he could have been, which rendered the idea of his being a trooper into a meaningless visual), then, he had to be named by Poe (historically dehumanizing to Black people, particularly to descendants in the slave/colonial nations), and he largely screamed and panted throughout TFA. Message from Kennedy, J.J., et al. well received.

I agree that is how they used him. He was basically just comic relief.

He was never meant to be a lead to begin with though, they weren't trying to make a new "Trio" of leads like in the OT. The story was always going to be about Rey and Ren above anyone else.

Anyways, here's Daredevil!

Damn, that looks awesome. And I think it's safe to say that this can put a rest to any concerns people might have had that they were going to change the tone to fit in with the lighter MCU productions.

It's all a trick! None of the action scenes will be in the show! Filmed them just for trailers. The show is actually going to just be Matt and Fisk having extended conversations for 30 minutes or so each week in that diner where they talk about philosophy and the issues of the day. "My Dinner with Andre" and 'In Treatment " being the main inspiration for the show! They will of course sometimes stand up and move about the diner like in a stage play but the focus will always be on their conversation.

EW has a new article about Born Again, the biggest reveal is that Charlie Cox purposefully tried to keep the one on one encounters between Matt and Fisk to a minimum. He says there was even one scene he convinced them to change because he thought it would have put them together to many times.

This trailer really makes me wonder even more how different the first version of this would have been. I know one thing I read somewhere had said that it was more of a legal drama, which we really don't see any sign of for this version.
