It's all a trick! None of the action scenes will be in the show! Filmed them just for trailers. The show is actually going to just be Matt and Fisk having extended conversations for 30 minutes or so each week in that diner where they talk about philosophy and the issues of the day. "My Dinner with Andre" and 'In Treatment " being the main inspiration for the show! They will of course sometimes stand up and move about the diner like in a stage play but the focus will always be on their conversation.
I'd watch it.

I agree that is how they used him. He was basically just comic relief.

A racial token. Disney/LFL will never escape that charge.

Regarding the Daredevil trailer: here's hoping it lives up to the mature nature of the original series. The scenes are promising--just what the MCU has long needed mainlined back into its system (hoping Cap4 has the same effect).

...according to some random "news" page on Twitter.

That said, I hope it's true.

Posted on reddit 10 hours ago. Cox said this on a panel he attended. When a definite shooting date is shared like this, the actors or producers write according to the statement made. Twitter accounts.

Super excited for Daredevil. I wonder if they'll carry any elements at all from the planned season 4 of the Netflix series. Unlikely, but Cox and other cast were aware of the plans for season 4, they might suggest a few ideas to writers.

Probably not. I actually wonder how much of the pre-reshoots storyline will remain.

I would bet nothing - remember, for contractual reasons this is a completely different show that happens to feature the same actors - It is also why it's called "Daredevil: Born Again" and not "Daredevil". It allows Disney to ignore previous contracts.

It's not, though. It's a continuation that takes place years later so there's no point in bringing up every point from the prior series beyond the basics.

As @Anwar mentioned. This is a follow up of that show. Been known for a while now.

Probably not, there's going to be a real time time jump and most of that stuff would have probably been immediate follow ups on Season 3. I doubt the characters' lives would have completely frozen for 7 years, so I'm hoping we'll see at least some of the characters in totally new situations, and not right where we last saw them.

I don't think anything or at least not much, I read a while back that the original version was going to be mostly a legal drama, with only a little bit superheroing, and from the trailer it looks like this will be more focused on the superheroing.

I'm hoping for a balance. One weakness of the Netflix shows was that we only got brief glimpses of Matt's brilliance as a lawyer.

Of course, it is, but that's not my point.

Contractually, it's not - this is a known trick by Disney that allows them to reset the terms and conditions to a season 1 IATSE contract and eliminate benefits. Stephen DeKnight has talked about it at length.

If anyone tried to take action, Disney lawyers would say with a straight face that the situations referred to are just backstory, common concepts from the characters and not directly related - remember, my comment was a particular point about directly using existing scripts and ideas for season 4 that already exist - my point is they would not directly do that because of this legal fiction.

Should Daredevil born again get an anticipation thread?

Good occasion to post some fitting unused Frank Miller cover art:
