And they would still lose to the Red Sox in the ALDS...:p

I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!

:(

:scream:

Sadly that voice will be redone for the new season.

Well, Beckett and Bard were total bad-ass today, with the latter hitting 100 mph. And it looks like the BoSox bats are starting to awaken.

Final- Nats 14, Brewers 6. :techman:

Awesome, for two reasons:

- I am predisposed to dislike the Brewers simply because they're from Milwaukee, which is the location of the Milwaukee airport, where I have had very bad experiences over the years

- I have been to Nats Park and so I would be more likely to root for them in any case (never been to Miller Park).

They were playing at Miller Park. Makes it even better. :techman:

Dice-K blames Sox for his poor performance.

Really? I thought it was his cutting spring training short to pitch an absurd number of innings in the WBC. As for MLB training methods, they work for everyone else, so he should adjust to the environment.

It seems that Japanese pitchers are just fragile and Dice-K wants to place the blame for this anywhere but on himself. Time to trade him.

:wtf: Heh?

So he's blaming the team for not letting him overwork his shoulder as the reason his shoulder is overworked?

Don't pitch what seemed like every other WBC game and maybe you'd be feeling better.

Actually from what I've heard the Mets training staff is in hot water because so many of their players are hurt this year. Sometimes you have bad luck and a few key guys get hurt and your season goes nowhere, but this is excessive this year.

The Freak with 15 Ks

That's unbelievable.

All that and a trade too.

I turned on the game last night and saw Guzman at first and Velez in the outfield and had to head to my computer to see what the hell was going on though...

Well, the Sox 'pen imploded magnificently. No ground lost against the Yankees--who got smoked by the Rays--but a golden opportunity to gain ground lost.

The Tigers dropped another game yesterday to the Rangers. At least the White Sox also lost to the Twins, letting the Tigers keep their lead in the division. But the race is tightening up again. They'll need to start stringing some wins together again if they want to hold onto the AL Central.

^
Until he falls apart.

And lest we not forget he pitched against the Twins two and a half weeks ago and gave up 8 runs in 3 innings.

Several Phillies prospects were given the day off yesterday, leading to increasing rumors that they'll take a shot at either Roy Halladay or Cliff Lee within the next 48 hours.

I was a little off on that 48 hours thing. Phillies trade for Cliff Lee. They apparently keep their two best prospects and Happ, so they aren't breaking the bank to get him.
