What a great win from the Giants. In the heat of two awesome Monday Night Football games, I was turning to the Giants every once in a while. This team has a lot of fight in it, and it's almost heart wrenching being a Giants fan this year.

One question: The Yankees and Angels are making up a game today - one that was postponed from months ago. Why did they have to wait so long?

To fit coast-to-coast traveling into the Angel's schedule. They had to find a day off when they were somewhat close to New York and while the Yanks were playing at home on a day next to that same day off.

It usually happens much quicker, but in this case since the Angels coming all the way to NY is a big deal, it was harder to plan.

Dude, I though you threw in the towel.

Anyway, they're still done, but I like the fight. Bummer for me I had a chance to go to watch tonight from a luxury box but couldn't swing away due to a busy week on the home front.

Well, the Mets are now eliminated from playoffs :( but I think we all knew that was coming.

What is it with Yankees pitchers hitting Toronto batters? At least nobody got hit in the face with a pitch this time.

Dice-K looked to be in good form tonight...for once.

I did, but realized that towel can still be used so I kinda picked it up again. ;)

great game from Dice-K. Imagine that, finished 6 innings in under 100 pitches, without any runs! Almost the kind of performance we paid the big money for! If he can repeat anything like that, it makes Boston pretty dangerous, with Beckett, Lester, Buchholz, and Dice-K as a pretty nasty 4 man rotation in the playoffs...

Man, the Tigers really seem to be leaking oil going down the stretch here. Losing 11-1 to Kansas City, and losing Washburn from the rotation.

I hate when that happens. Well, I'm still not back in, but a win tonight and if they don't throw up on themselves at Chavez Ravine and it could get fun here at the end....:techman:

Some nice Keystone Kops action from Ramon Ramirez and Jason Varitek tonight.

And Okajima too...he hasn't been sharp lately at all. Gagne-like, in fact, with that soaring ERA.

Your seat on the bandwagon has been taken. :D

Man, I'm glad the Tigers pulled out a win today. I hate calling a win against Kansas City crucial, but if they had lost this game they would have been in serious trouble heading into Minnesota. Detroit needs to keep winning to get in. They've been on a bit of a slide lately, and I was glad to see them pull this one out. Hopefully they keep things rolling tomorrow.

Have I mentioned how much I hate the Red Sox?

:scream:

:(

Who's your daddy? ;)

Yeah, entertaining game last night. I was there (on the RF Roof), and the place was nuts. It was also stupidly cold. Almost let the fiance talk me into leaving and heading to a bar a couple times, glad I stuck with it :)

That must have been fun to be there.

Seriously, the Red Sox are in our heads. IN OUR HEADS, MAN!

:scream:

I was looking at the schedules for both the Giants and Rockies, and while the Rockies have more games at home, they still have to play teams like the Dodgers and Cards. The Giants have the Dodgers, and then teams like Dimondbacks, Cubs, and Padres, which seems to be an easier schedule. Really should be interesting down the stretch.
