Lt. Kim

There was a Star Trek fanfilm series that explored interspecies gay sex, where they used the phrase "Ridged for my pleasure".

I grew up cheering on Ethan's pursuit of the girl in Benson, so I'm used to him being the romantic lead.

I'd take the Doctor as a hologram as a partner over Neelix anyday. Not that I'm particularly attracted to him, although I love his character, but he's way more attractive than Neelix. The character, not the actor I mean, just to be clear.
Apparently Ocampans, or at least Kes, have pretty different tastes, although I think Kes was emotionally pure and enlightened to see beyond the physical.
I do find Date kind of attractive. I may be oversharing.
I think if Trek were real, you'd be sharing a sofa with Barclay, talking to Troi about choosing to be in a relationship with a video game over a flesh & blood person.
:guffaw: That is absolutely true. I'd wind up having Troi restrict my holodeck use and be in group therapy with Barclay.
I didn't know Ethan was on Benson, I haven't seen that since I was a little kid though.
Do you remember which fan film series it is Guy? I'm planning to watch a bunch of fan films when I get done with my Trek marathon. I'm guessing it might be Hidden Frontier or one of their spin offs, I know they have a lot of gay characters. Including I think a gay Klingon and/or Cardassian I think.

That's how he got the job on Voyager.
Rene Aurberjenahebeebebeblahblah (Odo) starred in Benson with him(He was Clayton, Ethan was Pete) and recommended him for the job.

Yes they did. It would be super common I suspect.
Oh I agree, it would be common. It's a very tempting fantasy, you can create your perfect partner. They'll adore you, live to please you. No fear of rejection. You can have anyone you want. It's very very easy.
In the long run, you could make them more complicated and realistic, the way Janeway did with her hologram boyfriend, but it would be way easier than hitting the bars.
I think it's really easy to see how people would get caught up in that. Think of the phenomenon of online relationship and multiply the appeal by a thousand.

The real Rodney? Well you do lose the appeal of winning over the difficult character, unless you don't mind it being all a software game where you have to figure out what to say when and how and why to get the desired response. Which is not unlike real life anyway.

Sure.

I always liked him. Yeah I know no one else does but I always thought he was sweet. And I enjoy looking at him.
Who, Harry?
He never bothered me either.
Folks called him annoying and useless.
Jar Jar Binks is annoying and useless, Harry was just average people. Seriously, what was so exciting about LaForge, Crusher or Troi? At least Harry had cool choices in friends, like Tom & Be'Lanna.

NOTHING was exciting about LaForge or Troi. Crusher, she had beautiful hair but as I was informed in this very forum it was all fake :(

LaForge was absolutely useless. Troi at least was good for some laughs as in, at. If she'd been like she was in FC through the whole thing that would have been a big improvement.

I would have enjoyed LaForge if I had ever seen Reading Rainbow.

Relative to everyone else that makes him the most massive star ever on Star Trek.

I think Britta Perry said it best... "Imagine passing a bum cheque to Kunta Kinte?"

I'm sure LaForge recalibrated more systems than Kim.

I could be a little biased toward him, I also liked Levar because I watched Reading Rainbow.

But don't take my word for it.
