I can't elaborate on it at all, but the one thing I got strongly out of this episode is a hearken back to the old "they're in purgatory" idea. It can't be a coincidence that Charlie and Desmond had to almost die to experience the world we have been seeing for the last six years. Near-death experiences of the afterlife? Makes me think the flash-sideways universe might end up being the real one and maybe these characters are dead after all.

It seems to go both ways, though: Juliet asking someone out for coffee as she dies back in LA X. That was definitely foreshadowing of Charlie's near-death experience of seeing his "true love".

Daniel proved you don't have to die to get that awareness. But presumably if you're trying to move things along quickly I expect Desmond can't just wait for that to happen to everyone and he's going to have to take the more active and dangerous approach.

I do love Desmond episodes and now its getting even more interesting as it seems people in the other Universe know about the well other universe ;)

Am dam confused now but did the nuke allow the Island to create a seperate Universe :wtf: thats erm, well puts God's 6 day job to shame

Desmond brother I hope you don't die though it seems the way he looked at Sayid he knows that well thats no longer Sayid.
