Little things in Trek that just bug you...

I don't see how you could fix a damage done to your body at a cellular level. It means that there isn't a single cluster of a dozen of cells that doesn't comport at least one damaged cell. What happens is that people that don't die immediately of radiation poisoning, sometimes take years, even decades to die and there's nothing that the doctors can do to avoid it.
Based on our current level of medical tech it may not be repairable but we're talking about the future. They can fix it

Almost started a thread along these lines: How is the Enterprise kept clean? In Farscape, there are DRDs to carry out this function. In Trek, there are no 'bots to be seen cleaning the floors and hallways; no robots at all, really, except for nanobots. (Data is not a robot) Surely the crewmembers don't have to be swabbing the decks in the far future. Just think of all the skin cells alone, piling up over time on a long mission. Although most species are not as bad as the Skrreeans, the ship should still get pretty dusty. And there is Spot's hair and dander, and Porthos...

^Nick Meyer made a point of including a custodian in TWOK. Kirk glances at his cleaning device as he and Spock are walking down a corridor. I’d guess other facilities have similar staff members.

Edit: GNDN18 beat me to it.

It sometimes bugs me that in Beyond they don't seem to get the meaning of "admiral". Kirk would become a vice admiral just by accepting a job!!! What the... !!!
If he can be a Captain with zero experience, he can be an Admiral with zero experience, next movie he will be Head of Starfleet.

For me, Treknobabble. Revisiting TOS made me appreciate how respectful the writers were to the audience. Within dialogue there would be 2 words of tech and finishing with the engines don't work.

But during TNG and it's inferior spin-offs, actors had to go into monologue of that crap; it gotten so bad the writers thought it would be cool to have some episodes solely on Treknobabble. WTF???

DS9 isn't particularly bad with the babble, but on my recent rewatch, even that little bit was grating on my nerves.

One of my many unfinished fanfics, I wrote an engineer giving the captain a technobabble schpeel in answer to a question. She stares blankly at him, until he finally says, "I'll... I'll just fix it."

Most of the aliens look and act much less alien than many cultures right here on Earth. The really weird aliens like the Medusans are probably the only realistic aliens.

I vividly remember her walking casually even when her own life was in danger (e.g., “The Haunting of Deck 12”).
I believe that if the actress had tried to run in costume, the 1or 2 point elevation in her pulse would have caused her to pass out because of that asinine outfit she wore.

Read some history on why women were always fainting during the hellish corset wearing days.

^Fainting spells are caused by a decrease in blood flow to the brain, not a slight increase in heart rate. That’s why restrictive clothing causes episodes of the sort you’re describing.
