List Only! Last Star Trek Episode You Watched

TNG The Chase. Another episode that still offers commentary on current events.

I've just watched "The Basics", the VOY 2-parter episode. And although I dislike the Kazon it was quite a nice episode. Lon Suder was great imo. I know that the writers had to get rid of him at some point but still, I would have loved to see more stories with him.

Silicon Avatar. It was kind of disturbing, the way that scientist lady reacted to Data at the end. And WHY didn't Counselor Troi (sitting right there) tell Picard: "Captain, Dr. Marr is mentally unbalanced, she's not going to do what you expect her to do."

Force of Nature, yesterday afternoon, for the first time. My partner thought it was ok, but I absolutely hated it -- and I'm as much of a crunchy, annoying environmentalist as it gets most of the time, so it certainly wasn't the message that turned me off.

Friday I watched Clear Skies: Off the Map part 2, then over the weekend (I work nights Tuesday to Friday, so my weekend is Saturday morning to Tuesday night) I watched Our Man Bashir, Counterclock Incident, Star Trek Odyssey episodes 2 - 5, the latest Star Trek Online story playthrough from Celebrity Endgame, the latest Get Warped reaction, the latest To Boldly Watch episode, and listened to the latest Mission Log and Greatest Generation podcasts.

Too busy trying to get a read on the crystalline entity, maybe?

Voyager: "The Cloud"

I'm not a big Neelix fan--though he did have the occasional rare good episode. But I loved his line when they first investigate the 'nebula' where he complains about how Janeway says she wants to return home, but seems to want to chart every anomaly they pass without thinking of the dangers involved.

Just watched "Arena", and noticed that the staff of the observation post on Cestus III wore the same uniforms and insignia to the staff of the Earth Outposts on the Neutral Zone in "Balance of Terror" (goldish-tan, with a 'comet' insignia)

This lends credence to the insignia theory, based on memo dating December 18, '67, during the TOS filming, that ALL starship personnel should have the Enterprise 'arrowhead' , regardless of ship. I guess all "outpost" personnel had their own uniform (tannish-gold, with 'comet' insignia), and Starbase personnel wore standard red-gold-blue, but with the 'starburst' or 'rose' insignia.

Then there is the one-time ("Charlie X") uniforms of the 'Spacecraft Duty' insignia (Merchant Marines? Support Craft?) which looks like a painting pallette.

Other ships did have different insignias as well. Commodore Decker from the Constellation from "The Doomsday Machine" for instance, or Commodore Leslie from the Lexington in "The Ultimate Computer". And in TMP we see that the insignias on the Epsilon 9 station differ.

And on Enterprise, each ship had it's own unique shoulder patches, probably a nod to the different rank insignias on different Starfleet ships/installations in the original series (which Discovery pretty much eliminated).

Yes, those other ships did have their own insignias. It seems that mid-way through Season 2, GR tried to standardize the Enterprise arrowhead for ALL starfleet ship personnel. The memo I referred to was dated Dec. 67, which came out a few months after Doomsday Machine. There is an episode at some point afterwards where non-Enterprise crewmen are wearing arrowhead insignias. But then Ultimate Computer comes out with Leslie's insignia....

I'm re-watching the third season of Discovery in its entirety. So... "That Hope Is You, Part 1" and we'll see how far I get. Stopping point to be edited in later.

And I want to enjoy this experience, so I'm staying out of that series' forum. Sorry. :p

EDIT: I'm up to "People of Earth".
