Kurtzman: DS9 characters could appear in Picard

I guess we can all look forward to them bringing someone from DS9 back only to arbitrarily kill them off in short and gruesome order.

As long as it's not Garak.
Seriously though, while I disagree with how Icheb was bumped off, I'm not outraged over it because I didn't have a whole lot of attachment to the character.

Almost any living DS9 character would really piss me off if they got that treatment just because I liked the series better.

Why would any of them be important to Picard?

Maybe a cameo with Bashir as he has ties to Section 31 which might be part of what is bringing the downfall of Starfleet.

I also agree with the idea of Bashir, with his ties to Section 31, being a good fit for Picard. I was thinking that O'Brien, who already has a relationship with Picard, would be a good choice as well.

The two of them together is one of the highlights of DS9 so why not both! :)

I wouldn't mind seeing more of Ezri, girl didn't get enough time to properly develop as a character with just one season.

As a bonus, she still looks incredible.

15 year old me is getting googly eyed all over again. I was and still am a big fan.

I remember meeting her at DragonCon years ago, and told her that I remembered her all the wsy back to BEYOND REALITY when it first aired. She was genuinely surprised, and pleased, about that. She said a LOT of her later work was because of that show. (A number of writers and producers there worked on STAR TREK, THE DEAD ZONE, and other stuff she was on.)

Mirror Bareil was one of the better MU characters.

Which is appropriate for the fact that the real Bareil was one of the most dull and boring characters in the entire series. I never got why Kira liked him so much. Shakaar made a lot more sense for her.

EDIT: I see I'm not alone in that thinking.

Kira admired Bareil because he was a vedic, and a calm person trying to do the right thing with respect to all, at a time when she was still very angry at most everybody. Admiration can get mixed up with attraction, though I don't think their relationship would have lasted even if he'd lived longer.
