That being said, Klingon relationships must seem a real drag to humans like us. Klingons just basically beat each other up all the time. If humans do that, we (rightfully) call it abuse. But when Klingons do it, it's love? I'm not getting this.

There is something to be said about the Klingon divorce methods though. They must save a lot on lawyer and court fees.

Klingons do not dirty themselves with fiances... as for the children... they fight, loser has to raise the kids.

That's gotta be extremely rare. Remember how Worf once said that "Earth females are too fragile" and thus wouldn't even consider them? Klingon women probably say the same about Earth men. John Torres must be stronger than he looks, else he would have never got Miral to notice him.

Oh, I dunno. If the crowning achievement of Klingon lovemaking is causing noticeable pain and injury to the partner, rather than suffering it oneself, "easy" humans might be attractive as hell.
