just gor F2P ST:O. Want to be a Klingon

Nope, at level 25 you automatically get a free character slot to use with a Klingon character.

thank you

FYI and just my opinion.

Klingons make decent engineers. Science officers have a difficult time because they don't have a dedicated ship until high enough to get the carrier.

Not quite true anymore. They are C-Store solutions, but the KDF has Orion and Nausicaan ships at lower levels now, with light carriers and I hear that Nausicann science ship is a beast that goes toe to toe with the Intrepid at least, if not even a bit better on the offensive side.

That's good if they have true science ships available. The carrier hybrids I saw before were all engineering ships which would restrict the sciece abilities.

I know my KDF Sci, Jasmine, had a long, hard climb through the ranks trying to survive in the various Birds of Prey or Battle Cruisers. The Vo'vuq Carrier was a welcome relief. Had some interesting PvP encounters where Fed players weren't prepared for facing an unrestricted Sci officer or carrier.

Those of you wanting to play Klingon should check out the upcoming Klingon Awareness Week, April 1-7.

I'm not happy with how my KDF tactical Vor'Cha turned out. I may delete her and start fresh with a KDF engineer.

My first KDF character was an Orion Female Science Officer. This was a min/max char. It's fun to play but was frustrating until she got the carrier.

After talking with friends and fleetmates decided to try a KDF Engineer. Went with a min/maxed Trill. Very easy to play. He's best described as a light Tank/DPS. He's kind of the Mirror Universe version of my Fed Tac, Carter.

I've never really been into Klingons, so If I create another KDF character it would be a Nausiccan Tac or Gorn Engineer.
