Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley developing Star Trek reboot for Paramount

Heaven forbid old Tez would have to acknowledge seasons 1 and 2 in ways that don't take the piss out of them for interfering with his fanfiction.
That’s something that really annoys me about season 3, the almost total disregard for the prior story and characters from the first 20 episodes. Even the things Matalas included seem like he had to grudgingly bring in.

They would have just been in the way. Picard season 3 is basically a brand new show, only barely connected to the first two seasons. It also makes sense to me. If this is going to be the last time we see Picard then you want to see him one last time with the TNG gang.

Granted most of them at least got closure. Jurati is off with a new kind of Borg, Soji is living with the androids. Rios is in the past and making a difference and in love. Even the ones that comes back have something to look forward to. Laris gets to share Picard with Beverly and Rafi is first officer. Maybe a romance still with Seven. My guess is if that show happened we would see them get back together.
