My first thought upon seeing him in full-on Joker mode was that it was a Dark Knight prequel. Before he got the scars and when his ratty face paint was fresh. The shaggy hair and painted face are a little too reminiscent of the Ledger version, IMO.

I would be sp happy if they had a release like Logan, with a Black and White version (at least for home viewing, if not the limited theatrical release I believe B&W Logan received).

I'd buy that title again if they did so. I'm a big fan of B&W films and cinematography. I chose my home cinema projector primarily because it has a special B&W setting that better replicates the warmer bulbs used when B&W was the dominant film format (and I have hundreds of B&W movies on DVD and Blu-ray).Well I've seen a lot of b&w stills from shots that were cut from Justice League so I wouldn't mind if that came out either...![]()
It's not just "turning the color knob down" but it also isn't a simultaneous shoot with B&W in mind (at least for Logan). The effect of Logan in B&W is not as consistently good through the film (some dark scenes do suffer) but there are stretches that look fantastic (most likely because they took care to light the scenes as well as possible) and the story also lends itself to a B&W version. Also, my projector is particularly good with B&W anyway, so that helps (well, helps me). When they are making these black and white versions are they doing more than just "turning the color knob down"? Like do they enhance the contrast or shadows or anything to work better in black and white?
What, have you already forgotten how pretentious and depressing Aquaman was?The whole "DC so grimdark" whinging is getting rather stale, especially considering Shazam! is coming out literally tomorrow...![]()
