Jayru (JSnaith's) 3D Trek

I can tell. Looks professionally done.

I've made a few myself for my clients over the years (mostly challenge coins) and it's always a fun departure from my full-time coding job. Did you use Illustrator or Corel? I'm an Illustrator guy, myself.
A combination of the two with some tweaks done by AI (thanks to my machine's NPU)

Back to the Nav Deflector - slept on it, and my brain came up with this -

Updated shuttle interior (basic set) more TNG

And the finished shuttle base, which is shorter and a little more detailed. Livery still to be added -

Ranger-A shuttle, and the new Excalibur-B shuttle -

And some of the shuttles I have created since I started this thread (the one for the Delphis Class is missing) -

That's it for today, more tomorrow. Comments always welcome.

Great work Jayru I really like that design and the shuttles
Thank you. That shuttle frame has come a long way since I built the original, lol. Tempted to add side windows to it, bring it close to the Type 6 as seen in TNG, but keep it more as a forerunner.

This ship build sits closer to the launch of the Galaxy Class than the Ranger-A. Not sure if I've thought too much about the history of the Ranger Class as a whole. Just know that it sits between the Ambassador and Galaxy classes, fills the design gap better than the on-screen Ambassador. But as we all know, the on-screen Ambassador was rushed and unfinished and missing a lot of vital ship parts.

Anyways... Got some missing lights to add to the Excalibur. Then render some beauty shots. And then... This one is done

Not much to add, other than what I've already said so many times about it's beauty.

The one little thing (two, actually) I might recommend is the illumination light source, like of the underside registry. We first saw this stylistic effect in TMP with the refit Connie, and long before the advent of advanced CG tech, the illumination effect was handled, IIRC, by a jig of dental mirrors placed at strategic locations around the filming miniature, bouncing spotlights onto its surface. The model itself had visible light sources, albeit too dim to cast an effective light onto the hull, that would give visual queues as to where the light was coming from. I love the illumination effects that you have put on these models, but they seem to be lacking these light sources to make the illusion complete, such as at the front of the lower navigational dome in this particular context, while still having the bright "hot spot" implying that there is a visible light source somewhere. The second small suggestion would be to place light sources either on the engine pylons or on the front/underside of the nacelles themselves (just like the TMP model) to cast a light beam down on the pennants on either side of the 2H.

Other than that one little thing, perfection achieved! Never thought I'd say that about anything that derived its look from an Ambassador, but yeah - this thing rocks!

Thank you!

Way ahead of you - that would be the missing lights I'd mentioned in a prior post. Thinking about the self-lighting rig, and how to enhance it, but keep it within the spirit of TNG.

More soon

At first I wasn't to sure about the new deflector but it's really growing on me.
I'm just thrilled seeing all these new updates! :D
